Last lot for today

These cards were made using 123 punches which I got from a friend on the Imag-e-nation forum. You buy the sheets and also get the puches which punch the shapes out and you just then build the picture up as in decoupage. I like the colours of these and they have just been mounted onto square cards with a bit of ribbon and gems added.

and there is more....

..........cards that is.

The following cards were made from a kit that I bought from ESK. Quick easy cards but great for male cards.

This card was also made from a kit. Can't remember where I got it but think it may have been in a craft shop on the Isle of Wight! It's a kit from the Glitter Girls and I think it was for a bookatrix card but I have made the decopuage fairy and mounted it onto a black card blank. The pink glitter card is coated so that the glitter doesn't escape... I like the card but I messed up the cutting out at her ankles..

Well here are the cards I made..

Today has been a bit of a starnge day. Hubby was on lates today so was here this morning which put me right out. Keep thinking today os Saturday and forgetting it's actually Thursday!!

Have been putting some more stuff on my website. I'm getting there slowly.

Well here are the cards that I have recently made as promised. Sorry if you get bored, there are a few. Hopefully when I make others I will post them as and when.

This card was made for my nephew. The car is from a sheet from La Pashe. It was then matted and layered on card from my stash. I stamped the greeting onto a nestie and added some card candy.

The following cards are all forever friends. I have been on a bit of a spending spree recently with different forever friends. These were pre made toppers. The cards used are all pre embossed and also come from Forever Friends. Have used different papers and the mats have been cut with nesties and Nelli Snellen nesties.

My oh my.....

..... what a long time it has since I last blogged. Not very good am I at this blogging lark..well I am going to try and be a bit better now that I have tome on my hands... now what's happened since I last blogged..

Well the first thing is that I am no longer working, I left my job on 10th December 2009 after 17 years there. I finally got my redundancy that I had been after for 4 years. I have no intention of going back to work at the moment as I have far too much going on.

I am doing a home course on Sage Bookkeeping and payroll. I have just taken my first exam and I failed!!!! 76% where you need 85% to get a pass. Never mind.. will have to do a bit more revision and retake it.

Healthwise I am ok apart from my nose. I have terrible pain with it. I am under the consultant at the hospital and like years ago when I had high blood pressure ( I am on tablets for that), they can't seem to find a cause for the pain. They say my septum is wonky (outcome of having my nose broken by a friendly???? neighbour when I was 17 but that's another story) so I can go in and have that straightened (not too sure on that one though) and also I am alergic to housemites and grass.... have spray to take at the moment and further appointment in June. Watch this space.

I am at the moment re doing my website selling craft items. My 'business' is called Ubeautycrafts and I am hoping to become a millionaire in a year!!! Lol seriously I'm hoping I can make a go of it along with my shop. I'll keep you all updated when I have made the first million.....

Well I have been making some cards recently.. nice and easy ones.. I will put them on my blog later when I have a bit more time.

I go away next week to Florida which I am really looking forward to.. I need the sun!!! I will also be getting some craft items of course. It's hubby's birthday whilst we are away also.

Right that's it at the moment...I am going to try & update this more regularly.. I will also pot the cards I have made on here too.

Wii Fit – I have one…….

For sometime now I have been thinking about buying a Wii Fit. I have heard how much fun they can be and I thought I it would be a bit of exercise that we can all do and have a bit of a laugh whilst doing it. I was speaking to a work colleague who I hadn’t seen or spoken too for sometime and I commented on how well she looked and how much weight she had lost. She said that she had been using her Wii Fit everyday for ½ hour and it had really worked. A friend of Gary’s at work was selling their Wii Fit so we bought it and last Wednesday decided to set it up. The first thing you have to do it set up your ‘mini me’. This is comical in it self. Once you have done this then you have to register. This takes you through a series of tests, finding your COG (centre of Gravity). You have to put your height and date of birth and then it takes your weight and BMI. Obviously it isn’t accurate but it gives you an idea. You then have to put in a weight loss target. You then have to do a balance test and from all this it will then give you your Wii Age. Well on the first day mine was 40 (real age 42) which I was pleased about. Gaz’s wasn’t too good, his was 64 (real age 51- opps!)
You can then go onto the training bits and this is split into 4 categories.
1) Yoga
2) Muscle Workouts
3) Aerobic Exercise
4) Balance Exercise

We started off on the balance exercises. This includes heading footballs – very funny when you get hit by a football boot!!, Slalom, ski jump, table tilt and tightrope walking. The better you get the more activities you open. I tell you what its knackering.
The aerobic exercises are things like hoola hooping, step and jogging. These get your heart pumping.
If anyone is in two minds about getting one I would encourage them to get one most definitely. It‘s far better than sitting in front of the TV!
By the way I have lost 3lb and my Wii age is at the moment 35!!

End of an Era………..

Some of you who have read my blog may be aware that back in June I was told that my job would be going and that I had to apply for another job or opt to take voluntary redundancy. Well things have moved on a bit now, I didn’t get the job I applied for – Shame!! – Not that I wanted it in the first place but I had to apply for one. Well I was told last week that my redundancy request had been agreed and I would be getting my letter and package through the post imminently.
Well the letters were due out last Friday but due to the postal strike that is about, they also sent them by e-mail which I picked up on Monday. My package was very nice, thank you very much…. I would hope so after 17 years of service and I have been given a final day of between 14th and 31st December. So I am now in my last couple of months in full time employment and it is exciting as well as very scary! I have worked full time since I was 19 (I have never had time off for children as I have never given birth). The only length of time I have had off was when I was sick for 4 months.
Will I get another job – yes I will eventually but there are a few things that I want to do first, a couple of training courses I want to do to get some more qualifications, sort my house out and work on my website up and running. So I am now on countdown! I have 3 weeks holiday at the end of October when I am going to Florida and then I will only have a couple of weeks left.
