Right, I hope you are all sitting down...

....because I have made a couple of cards that weren't workshop cards!!!!! That's right my first own cards done this year.

My friends' son got married at the weekend so she asked me to make a card for him and obviously I had to make one for me as well as we were invited.

The first card is from Hunkydory. An 8x8 card. I love the image on this card but then I am a hunkydory fan. The backing card & the image have been matted onto silver mirri card and pink ribbon and bow has been added.

This is the box that I made to go with it.

This card was based loosly on an idea I found on Pintrest, It's very simple idea using a black and white theme. The original card was don as a 5 x 7 but I wanted to do an 8x8 but the original idea didn't quite work so I have adjusted it. The greeting is computer generated and when I out the card all together it had something missing so in my recent craft room clear out I came across these metal hearts, I think I got the at The Works, which I thought worked quite well. I was really pleased with the outcome.

Here is the matching box. The greeting is duplicated as this was the first one I printed out but did it on the wrong card that didn't match the card so I used it in the box instead.

Oh My Goodness!!

I hadn't realised that it had been so long since I have blogged - over a month! Well I am hoping but not promising, that I will be a better blogger and will have more regular updates. I still have a few more pictures of my holidays last year, also of my newly sorted craft room - yes it is nearly done.  I have been up on my craft room this afternoon making a couple of wedding cards. I will show these later as the wedding is on Saturday and the bride and groom ay have a read and see them before them.

I have also been de-cluttering other rooms in the house and also sorting my son's room who moved out just before Christmas.

Anyway in the mean time I have a couple of cards which I have made at Craft Workshop. The first two were done using a die - Stampin Up's Striped Scallop - a lovely die but a bit of a pain to cut out and we needed to keep all the little bits too. The flowers are a stamp & punch and these have been embossed with gold WOW powder. Lovely cards but very fiddly. The mother's day one went to my Mother in Law.

This card is lovely and I think looks so fresh. The stamps are ALTENEW - PERSIAN MOTIFS - beautiful stamps to use. They have been coloured with promarkers. I love the colours. The 'Friend' die is a die-namics die and it is on my wish list. I really like this card..
