Birthday Cards

Not a workshop this time, made these all by myself :-) . Am going to try to use up some of my crafty stash over the next few months along with trying to sort my craft room out.

The following cards were made using up some kanban toppers I bought years ago. Just added some embossing folders, card candy, bakers twine and greetings.

Another Workshop

Well Christmas is over with again for another year. I had a very busy couple of days celebrating with family but I had a great time. Now I can start to get excited about my holiday next week, we are of the the States for a couple of weeks.

The makes I have to show you today are from a workshop I attended in November (I think :-) ) . This time the class was with Deborah Toner. My first workshop with here but definitely won't be the last.

We made a couple of lovely Christmas cards and a lovely gift box using Stampin Up products.

Julie Hickey's - Craftwork Cards - Workshop

Back in either September or October I did a workshop up in Crawley with Julie Hickey from Craftwork Cards. It was a full day workshop and we made several projects from their new ranges.

I enjoyed all the projects that we did apart from one with a fairy door and I have to say that unfortunately that ended up in the bin!!

Here are the pictures of the projects.

What have I been up to?

Ok so not been very good with the blogging the last part of the year but have to say that I have not been here very often - lucky me. Over the next few days I will be scheduling posts of crafty items that I have been making at workshops and for Christmas pressies.

For this post I would like to share with you a card I made for my nephew and niece for their anniversary. The image is from Hunkydory's Little Book. just matted a layered using kraft card. The greeting is from Lily of the Valley.

Anniversary Card & Moving House.....

......not me but my son and girlfriend (well fiancee now :-) ). On Friday 1st December they received the keys to their first house and after just over 2 years of living with us they moved into their new house. It was also very special as my son proposed to his girlfriend before they entered the house & she said yes!! Very happy mummy!!

I do have a card to show you. This is one I made for my friend's anniversary. Made using an image from Hunkydory's Little books Smudge & Mitten. Just used patterned and plain card to matt and layer. Some ribbon and the image is from LOTV.

Catch Up

My my what a busy month I have had since I last blogged. Firstly we took my oldest grandson across to the Isle of Wight for a few days. This would be the last time would take him on his own as next year we will take the little one also. The week consisted mainly of soft play. That's all he likes to do. :-)  Here are a couple of pictures of him

We got back on the Friday and then on the Sunday hubby and I went on our first long cruise. We sailed on P&O's Ventura. Beautiful ship and a fantastic time we had. We sailed from Southampton and called at Lisbon, Tenerife, Grand Canaria, La Palma and Madeira. All beautiful places. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked another for next September on the Britannia this time down to the Med.
Here is one of the professional photographs that we had taken on one of the formal nights on board. Don't scrub up too bad do we?

Obviously with all these holidays I haven't had much time to craft but I have been to a couple of workshops. This is the box that we made at the last Saltdean workshop with Clair and Sharni. Was made using tonic dies. A lot of die cutting but looks really good made up. More dies for my wish list :-)
