Another Anniversary Card

What another beautiful Spring day it has been today, a bit chilly but lovely and sunny. I had my craft workshop in Saltdean this morning and we made a lovely card  which I will show you once I have photographed it. I do love the workshops -  excellent projects, great people, lots of laughs and chat.

We have started to have monthly challenges and in March the challenge was to make a card using a sketch and add the colour blue. I love working to sketches and as I had a couple of cards to do I made the following card to enter the challenge.

Here is the sketch
Here is my card. I designed it in CAP. I find CAP a life saver when I don't have tome to get into my craft room but need a card done. Although this card looks layered, it is in fact completely flat.

Another Busy Day

Another busy day today. Started off by taking oldest grandson to get his feet measured and new shoes for school. (Always make sure his feet are measured 2 or 3 times a year and gets a decent pair of shoes!) Then we decided to take him to a soft play place called 'Flying Fortress' in nearby Ford for a couple of hours to let of some steam :-). Don't know about him but Nanny and Grandad were knackered!!!

The card that I have to show you is an anniversary card made in CAP. Although the card looks layered it is in fact flat. I love the shadowing tool in CAP. You can't see in the picture but the frame around the greeting and the hearts have wink of stella ink on.

Workshop Cards

Have been a bit behind with my blogging but as hubby retired a couple of weeks ago we have been quite busy and last week we were away on the Isle of Wight. (Pictures will follow :-) )

As previously said I haven't had much chance to get in my craft room and the the only cards that I have made have been at workshops earlier this month. So these are the cards that I am showing today.

The first one was done at Clair's workshop. It's an 8x8 card made with the Stampin Up Rose Wonder stamp and die set. The large embossing folder is from the Textures release by Crafters Companion called Sunbeam. Was a bit tricky but worth it in the end.

These are the cards made at Vickie's last workshop. They are all made from Stampin Up products. Simple cards but very effective and made on little card blanks that are great to use.

Moving Card

Well today hasn't been a brilliant day. Wasn't feeling very well last night and woke up this morning with a very bad stomach. Not good when you are supposed to be helping hubby finish off the loft and sorting things to go in there. Still we survived.
Stomach still feels a bit dodgy but feeling a lot better then did this morning.

The card that I have to show you today is a 'Welcome to your New Home' card. I have used a kit from Hunkydory. I wish that I had backed the backing card with silver mirri but the recipient like it :-)

First couple of days of retirement

Good evening. As you are all aware my hubby retired last Friday and the last few days have been pretty hectic. He has not wasted any time in getting on with the list of jobs I have for him. The first being to board the loft. Now this seems quite easy to do however we live in a chalet bungalow and the entrance to the loft is half way up the stairs...not an easy job to get in and out of the loft.  So whilst he has been doing that I have been sorting out the study, spring clean fever has hit!!

Consequently I have not had chance to make many cards, however as previously stated, I do have a few from workshops that I can show you, however I haven't had chance to photograph them.

What I do have to show you though is a couple of scrapbook pages that I have created from last year. (Slowly getting through the pictures!!) As with all my scrapbook pages, they were created in CAP.

This first one is of Leon and his friend Aaron from Drusillas last year.

A bit of 'monkeying around in the park on the climbing frame.

His new haircut last year. First time had it cut this short!!

Start to catch up on scrapping

Well it's been a busy few days since I last blogged. I am planning my hubby's retirement party. My friend and I have been searching for retirement banners, balloons, printing pictures to put up (he is going to kill us on that one :-) ). Still we have done everything now apart from the cake so that will be next week!!

I haven't had chance to making any cards (apart from those at the workshops that I have attended which I will blog about when I have taken the pictures) however I have been catching up on my digital scrap booking. These are from a trip to Thomasland last year with Leon. This was the second visit that we had and we are again going this year or so Leon keeps telling us!

I'd like to introduce Lopsey!

A few weeks ago my friend Pam showed me a knitted Pug that she had knitted for her son for his step daughter. He was so cute and I had the sudden urge to knot an animal too. I looked though a knitting brochure that I was sent from LoveKnitting and fell in love with a Rabbit.  He was knitted in grey but I decided I wanted him in blue.

I am very pleased with how he has turned out. Not bad for my first go. :-)

I have named him Lopsey!

Pintrest Card

Do you love Pintrest? I do! I look through it and am always saving cards to my boards but normally that's where they stay. I save them all for inspiration but then never use them, but I saw this one and it stuck in my mind so I thought I would give it a go. I have a lot of embossing folders that I never seem to use. After doing this card I have decided that I need to use them more.

Here is the card that I made. White card which has been embossed with the 'happy birthday' embossing folder. Matt and layered onto lilac card. The flowers are a Woodware stamp that was stamped out, cut and them coloured with promarkers. Gems were added to the center of the flowers.

Leon and Olie

My new grandson came to visit on Saturday and we had some Nanny/gramdson alone time, so of course we had lots of cuddles and obviously photos. Of course I had to scrap them and here is the first page for his memory book. Scrapping was created in CAP.

This picture was one that my son took of Olie having a suck on Leon's nose. It is such a lovely picture that I just had to scrap it.
