New Jewellery made

Last Sunday I decided to get my beads out and have a play. Haven't really taken to jewellery but do like playing sometimes.
Here are the pieces that I made.
The first is a memory bracelet made from 3 coloured beads that are like stone chips. I have made matching earrings to go with it.

The picture of the necklace does not do it justice even if I do say so myself. The blue beads were bought ages ago and I never knew quite what to do with them, then Sunday I knew. The blue beads were are intermingled with white pearly beads with silver spacer beads in-between.

Not been blogging again...

Sorry for the lack of blogging recently but just haven't got round to it. Have been busy making different things i.e. scarves and jewellery. (Pictures will follow!)

Today is the anniversary of my Dad's death. 36 years today. I can't believe it. Time certainly flies. He died from lung cancer as did my mum in 1992 and it's because of them that I am again, running (well walking!!) the Race for Life. All sponsors are welcome and appreciated. You can sponsor me here Thank you.

I have made a card though a couple of days ago for the March Inspirational on the forum I belong to. Crafters Reunited. This month is was to follow a sketch. Here it is. I do like a good sketch to follow.

Here is the card that I made. The 3 different backing papers came from K and Company. The sentiment was a a stamp from a Hobby Arts set. The sentiment was matted on nesties. The ribbon and flowers are from my stash.

New Forest

Well hubby and I spent a lovely few days down in the New Forest last week. The weather was beautiful as were the surroundings.

The holiday was in jeopody though as we started having problems with the car the week before and it had to go into the garage. They didn't know what the problem was so they had to send it off to the specialists. I wouldn't be back before we were due to go. Luckily my son said that we could use his. So we went from a Kia Sportage automatic to a Peugeot 106 manual. It's a nice little runner though and helped us out.

We got a really good deal via the internet. We got a log cabin at Sandy Balls in Fordingbridge for £99. The normal price is £239. The lodge was lovely but I wouldn't spend £1500 for a week down there in the summer (which is what is costs!!!!!!)

Anyway we had a lovely time, lots of walks and fresh air. Here are a few pics of our trip.

Spot the squirrel!

I walked right to the end of that path - miles!!!
