Clair & Sharni's Workshop card

We did a bit of sewing at Clair & Sharni's workshop last week. It was originally meant to be an Easter card but as I don't do cards for Easter, I made it into a birthday card.

The flower was a cutting file cut onto an oval and we could stitch it how we wanted to. I used red, blue, green and purple. The backing matt was embossed with a chevron embossing folder.

Not sure if I would do another one but found the stitching very therapeutic.

Debbie's Workshop - 21st March

Here are the 3 projects that we made at Debbie's workshop last week. All made with Stampin Up products.

This card was made using Blossoming Basket Bundle which includes the flower basket and the lovely embossing folder

This card was made using High Tide stamp set

This is a box in a bag! You start with making a little box and then wrap the double sided paper around it to form the bag. Lovely little gift bag.

Anniversary Card

The card for today is an anniversary card that I made for some friends. The image is from Hunkydory's Little Book of Love which I cut down using Spellbinders Oval Nesties. The backing card and paper are from my stash. The heart was from a Lawn Fawn die and the sentiment is from Hunkydory's Book of Sentiments.

I followed the sketch over on Clair & Sharni Get Crafty for this months challenge.

Maid of Honour Card

My son and his fiancee are getting married next year and I have been asked to do the invites which I can't wait to do (I think!!!). Jodie is obsessed with Alice in Wonderland so that is going to be the theme of the wedding.

She wanted to ask her sister to be her Matron of Honour and asked me if I could make a card for her. She wanted to incorporate Alice is we could. She knew what she wanted to say to her and this is what we came up with. The image was from the internet and is copyright free. The Alice in Wonderland font was downloaded from the internet and free.

Jodie made up a 'Maid of Honour' box for her sister which included face mask, calming candle and a mini bottle of prosecco for her to drink when Jodie becomes bridezilla!! :-)

Workshop Card - 8th March

Bit behind with posting my workshop cards..opps!! This card is from Clair & Sharni's workshop on 8th March.

They have now moved premises and have their own studio is smaller than the hall we were previously in but more friendly and personal.

We only made 1 card this time but a very pretty card. An accordion card made using the CRAFTER'S COMPANION DIESIRE Square Accordion Card Die Set. The flowers are Build-a-Flower Coral Charm stamp and dies from Altenew and were stamped using Altenew Sweet Dreams ink cubes. The border was stamped using CREATIVE EXPRESSIONS Pine Twig die set.

Got a bonus to as Clair & Sharni were selling the accordion dies we used and fairest way was to put everyone that wanted them in a hat and pull out a name and I was one of the winners so I will pick up the die next class.

50th Birthday Card

It was my friends brother's 50th birthday at the weekend and here is the card that I made him. His partner arranged a surprise party for him at the bowling rink which was lots of fun.

I made an eclipse card for him with the number 50. 7x7 card blank, black linen card, backing paper was from a pack I bought from Lidl. He loves clocks so I thought this was appropriate. The number dies are Stampin Up large number framelits, wording is Spellbinders Victorian letters. The numbers are backed with black funky foam.

Mother's Day Card

Here is the card that I made for my mother in law for Mother's day.

The image is from a set I have had for a few years (trying to use up old stash!! :-) ). The image is supposed to be decoupaged but I haven't on this occasion. The greeting comes from Hunkydory. Ribbon, backing paper and backing card are all from my stash.

Today's cards are ones I made at Clair & Sharni's workshop a couple of weeks ago.

For Clair's card we used Altenew Adore You stamps & dies. Coloured with inks diluted in water. Avery Elle Diagonal Strips die and the greeting was Altenew Birthday builder.

Sharni's card was made using Altenew Persian Motifs stamps and Sue Wilson Twinkle Star Frames. The greeting again was from Birthday Builder. Again the flowers were coloured using diluted inks.

Debbie;s Craft Workshop

So as I said in a previous post, the week before last I had 3 workshops to attend which I thoroughly enjoyed all of them.

The first of these workshops was with Debbie (you can find all her details here). We had 3 projects to make - 2 cards and a 3d project.

The 3d project was a self closing faceted box. Box is made from a piece of plain card and then covered in patterned paper and tied with a ribbon. Lots of scoring and folding but relatively easy to do.

This is one of the cards we made which is ideal for a teenager. The stamp set we used was a freebie one from the Sale -A-Bration catalogue, Epic Celebrations stamp set just added ribbon and some star sequins.  Loved this stamp set. Again another simple but great card.

The other card was a shaker card - me and shaker cards don't always go to plan but this one wasn't too bad. For the greeting we used Stampin Up Picture Perfect Birthday stamp set. The original card did have flowers on but I decided to leave the flowers out making it a great male card.

My Card for Today

I am at the moment - in between other stuff - trying to sort out my craft room. In doing so I am sorting stuff that I can sell but mainly what I can use. The card I have to show you was a decoupage sheet I think I go from LaPashe.

Everything you need is on the sheet, the image, the backing paper and the sentiment. I just added the backing card and the gems.

A Man's Card

Well what a week!! Have been away to the Isle of Wight for the week with hubby. We had a lovely time away and yes we did get snowed in for a couple of days but not as bad as some.

The week before I went away was very busy workshop wise. I had 3 workshops in 2 days so I do have lots of cards to show you :-)

The card today though was one that I made for one of my nephews. For this one I used a pre - coloured image from Acid Drops and Whatnots. I love their images. Just added some backing card and paper.
