Busy Couple Of Weeks

Haven't made any cards over the last week or so cause I went away for a week down to the New Forest. Lovely part of the world and so relaxing. We definitely picked the right week though. While we were down there, hubby surprised me with a day trip to the Isle of Wight from Lymington. Had a great day. On the return ferry, we were 1 of 6 cars only on the ferry. I have been going to the Island regularly since I was 7 and have never seen the ferry that quiet! I did do a bit of crafting whilst away (couldn't go all week without) I took some decoupage to do and have made some Christmas toppers which hopefully will be made into cards!!

The return car ferry.

On Monday this week we were due to pick up our new car. We had a Kia Sportage 2.6 which was very juicy and as I use the car more than hubby, it was very expensive so we decided on a smaller car and opted for a Ford C-Max 1.6. Have to get used to the gears again as Byf - that was the Kia (yes I am one of those people that name their cars!! Byf was part of the registration plate. ) was an automatic

Here is the Black Panther :-)

As I haven't posted any pictures of my little grandson recently here are a few from yesterday. I can't believe how quickly he is growing.

I have made a couple of cards today which I will post once I have photographed them.

No Card Today.

I have no card today as I have had a really busy weekend. I was up early on Saturday morning to do a car boot. I have been meaning to do one for ages but what with the weather, had't got round to it. I made £47 which wasn't bad bearing in mind I only had junk :-). Mind you some people still wanted things for nothing!!

In the afternoon we went and pick Leon up (our grandson) as he was staying with us overnight. As it was a lovely day we took him to the park. Here are a couple of pictures I took. The first tow were from yesterday the third one was today.

He was very good and went down to bed at 6.45pm and slept through until 3am when he decided he wanted a cuddle with Nanny! Although he wasn't making a noise he finally fell asleep on me at 4.15am. He then woke up at 6.45am which was good for him. We do so love having him and the place is very quiet when he has gone home.

Here is a last picture of him having his bedtime bottle of milk sitting on his new chair!

Monday 3 September 2012

So the week begins again!!

Can you believe it's Monday already. Was up early today and at the Gym by 7.45am. Am really enjoying my exercising and am feeling much better for it. Came back home and did the dreaded housework - yuck - but it had to be done! Had Slimming club this evening - lost 1lb which I am very pleased with bearing in mind that I had 2 take away and ate out yesterday and had cake!!! I have given myself a target of loosing 8lb by my birthday which is on 2nd October. I will then weigh less than I have been in about 20 years!! I will keep you posted on how I get on.

I did get to make a card this afternoon and will show that in a later post but for today here is a card I made for 1 of my nephews for his birthday this month. It's another decoupaged car. They are so good for male cards!

Recipe: -
Square card blank

Lovely Day

Second post for me today although I did cheat with the earlier one as I scheduled that from yesterday. I have had a lovely day today as we have been out for a meal at the Queen's Head pub in West Chiltington in Sussex. We were celebrating our friends 50th birthday which is on Wednesday. We went out today as this was the only day both his sons were available. Ate a bit too much but it was lovely so will have to work extra hard at the gym tomorrow morning.

Now to my card for the day. This is for my sister whose birthday is later this month. I do like using black and white.
Card Recipe :-
Square card blank
Devine swirls embossing folder
Nesties - curved rectangles
Decoupage flowers (not sure where this came from as found it already made up in my box!)
