Button Anniversary Card

I have had a lovely day today at a Christmas Card workshop in Worthing run by The Craft Bunnies. Once I have titivated my cards and photographed them I will show them.

The card I have to show you today was inspired by one I saw on Pintrest. (Where would we be without Pintrest these days).

Used kraft card for the backing, spotty backing paper from Colorbok - French Prep, greeting stamp is from Just Rite Large Fancy Sentiments stamped in Momento rich cocoa, buttons from my stash.

Sorry You Are Leaving

Last week hubby and I attended the leaving do of one of his ex colleagues. Left the police force after 20 odd years. He is getting on his motorbike and heading round Europe for a month. Rather him than me as I don't like bikes, they scare me!!

Here is the card that I made him using CAP.

Casino and Drusillas

Quick catch up on what I have been up to over the past couple of week. Saturday 27th, hubby and I went out to the casino to celebrate 2 of my friends' birthdays. Didn't win but we had a lovely meal and a good time. This is a picture I took of the both of us before we went out which I really like.

Last Tuesday, 30th, we had the grand children and we took them out to Drusillas. The weather was very hot so we took the boys swimmies. Leon loves the water and it doesn't matter how cold it is but I thought it would be far too cold for Ollie but he loved it as you can see from the pictures. :-)

Bodium Castle and Batemans

Last Christmas my friend bought us an English Heritage Membership to use, then we decided to join National Trust as well but up til now we haven't visited any places so last week we decided it was about time we did. The weather was beautiful s we decided to go over to Bodium Castle in East Sussex. I am a great fan of Castles and this one didn't let me down.

From the outside it looks intact but inside it is a ruin. It was really interesting looking around it and we listened to a talk on how it was built. If you ever get the chance to visit then you should :-)

The moat is one the largest one surrounding a castle in this area.

The fish in the moat are huge!

We spent a few hours at Bodium and after having a bit of lunch we drove over to visit Batemans - the home of Rudyard Kipling. The house is very nice as are the gardens although I think we visited at the wrong time as the flowers were dying but I think in the height of the season they should be lovely.

This is a picture of the Gift Shop which is an Oast House

Afternoon tea - don't mind if I do :-)

Fabby day and the first of many.
