Crafters House Party part 1

As my previous post states, a few weeks ago 15 like minded people went up to Appleby Magna for a long weekend away of chillaxing, chat and a bit of cardmaking thrown in. It was decided that everyone would do a shoebox card ( a project for everyone to do and provide the materials to complete it.) Here are the first lot ...I won't bore you with them all at once..

Toni's Project

This is Toni's project. She decided to do a wrap for a chocolate bar. The purple paper was stamped with spiders, cobweb's etc then inked round the edges. The image is from Just Inklined and was coloured using Promarkers with the message stamped. This I thought was a very versitile project and could be used for so many things.

Kim's Project

Kim had stamped the image already but we had to make the blue covering, cutting out the opening for the image and the greeting. The covering has been put through the cuttlebug and then sanded to make it distressed. The image has stickles on it.

Anne Marie's Project

This is a nice simple card with a bit of stamping. A few cut out butterflies with some gems. The greeting is stamped and cut with nesties.

Carolyn's Project

Another really simple card with is very effective. Using card, patterned paper, ribbon and craft candy. A stamped greeting and et voila!!

Thank you Card

A couple of weeks ago a few of us went up to Appleby Magna near Birmingahm for weekend away. Pam arranged the crafter house party and did a lot of work and stress in doing it. We all decided to make her thank you cards and if you pop across to her blog in the future you will see them all. This is the card I made her. A square easel card. The backing paper was from my stash. The decoupaged poppy was from a kit I got from The Range. Added some gems and a piece of black ribbon. The greeting is from a Stamping Up set.

My first order from a stranger

The other day I received a question via e-bay regarding a couple of art drco ladies cards that I have on there for sale. the lady asked if I was able to add some greetings to the front of the cards as it is her mother's 50th birthday at the weekend and she is a fan of Art Deco. They have even got her a cake with an art deco picture on it. I e-mailed her back and said that I could make her 3 different cards as the one's on e-bay couldn't be altered. I advised her that I would make them and e-mail pictures to her to see if she liked them.
These are the cards that I made. The images all come from freebies I got from Creative Crafting Magazine.

I have just received an e-mail from her to say that she loves them and wants them..whoo hoo.. I'm so excited.

Anniversary Cards

Well yesterday I made a couple of anniversary cards for my sister and her hubby and my niece and her husband.
The first card is a square pearlescent card. The topper was bought ages ago not sure where, I think it may have been at a show from the 'Pound man'. The flower comes from K & Company, the ribbon and gems are from my stash. It was finished off with a silver peel off.

This card is also on a square pearlescent card. The yellow backing paper is from my stash and it has been put through the cuttlebug and embossing folder (swiss dots). The topper is from the same place as the previous one. the flower and gems were from my stash. This was finished off with a gold peel off.

My big sister is 50!!!

My sister, Mandy is 50 in a couple of weeks time so I wanted to make her a special card. Last week I was sorting through some old photos and found this one of her. It w as taken at a holiday camp in Weymouth in about 1969. She was 9 at the time.
I printed the picture onto white card and then matted it onto black card which was cut using Nellie Snellon nesties. The greeting was computer generated and printed onto white card, cut and then also matted onto black card cut with the smaller rectangle of Nellie Snellon. The backing paper is from Papermania Creative Tones - Ivory Black, the flowers are from Papermainia Capsule Collection. Gems and bows were from my stash.
The card is an A5 card blank in white.
