Another card & another challenge

Can't believe that it's May already. Where has the first quarter of the year gone? Seems that the summer has disappeared and the cold weather has returned just in time for May day weekend. Oh well never mind, maybe more time in the craft room :-)

My card today is one that I have made for my great nephew whose birthday is at the end of this month.
I have followed the sketch over on this weeks challenge at Tuesday Morning Sketches

and have used this weeks theme at Cuttlebug Mania which is 'Use a Stamp'.  Not sure where I got the stamp from but ideal for my great nephew. Coloured it in with my promarkers. Cut the topper out with Spellbinders curved rectangles. Edged with black promarker. The football backing paper was found recently while clearing my craft room :-). The black card is from my stash. The red card was from my bit box. finished off with card candi and black twine.

Not A Card

Good evening. have had a lovely morning at Craft Workshop today, lots of chatting, laughing and even managed to make a card which I will post at a later time. :-)

Last week I went up to Guildford and spent the day with some friends. It was supposed to be a crafty day but not a lot of crafting took place. :-) although I did make this!

A button balloon. I really enjoyed making it and will be purchasing some canvas and using up some of my buttons. So simple to make but very effective.

Katy Sue CD & Craft Artist Professional

It has been a bit chillier today, hopefully we haven't seen the end of the nice weather and that it will be coming back. Had to go to the dentist today - ended up going twice as I got the time wrong!!! Was then taken out to an early dinner by my youngest son and his girlfriend which was really nice.
Looking forward to tomorrow as I am hoping to spend most of the day on my craft room:-)

The card I have to show you today was made for a lady that loves shoes!! What better image to use than Katy Sue Fashionable Shoes CD. I started the card off in CAP. Did the 4 background layers. I imported the shoe from the CD and placed it on the background, added the greeting and the flower in the corner then printed it out. I then made several copies of the show and flower and printed them out. I stuck the background sheets onto a 8 x 8 card blank, decoupaged the shoe and the flower. I then added some Stickles to the center of the flower. For the insert I printed out the background sheet again with the 4 backgrounds minus the shoe and wording and stuck it inside the card.

Crafty Morning Cards

What a lovey few days it has been. The weather has been beautiful. I hope you have all been making the most of it and enjoying it cause we don't know how long it's gonna last.

Here are some cards that I made last week, using all Stampin Up products. Lovely quick and easy cards.
I love these little ties. Such great cards for the dreaded men! Ties stamped in coloured ink then cut out and stuck on with foam pads. Stamped greeting

On the left hand card the image was stamped using pens and then once stamped used an aqua pen to define the image. The butterflies were stamped out and then punched.
On the right had card the image was stamped using ink and then matt and layered.

To lovely quick and easy baby cards. Cute stamp set. Bottom half of card put through bubble embossing folder. Top part stamped with hearts. Duck images stamped and then layered and stuck on foam pads.
