Scotney Castle - 2nd Sept

I have so much to catch up on and do that I am adding more things to my to do list than I am crossing off!!. Anyway, no card to show you on this post, only some pictures from a trip that hubby and I took to Scotney Castle the other week. The weather was a bit overcast but luckily the rain stayed away until we were due to leave.

The walled garden wasn't at it's best as it's late in the season and most of the flowers wee dying, however the grounds and the house were magnificent. The house was actually lived in up until 2006. It was open to the public via the National Trust in 2007. I love looking round old houses and learning all about the history.

The visit was finished off with a cream tea. Don't mind if I do!!!! :-)

This tree was huge!! so tall, the white blob is Gary just to show how tall the tree was.

Another walk & Wellington the Bear

Today hubby and I decided to go for a walk. We started off at Beach Green in Lancing and walked along the seafront as far as the the Goring roundabout, a round trip of approx 8 miles. It was a lovely day and a lovely walk although by the time I got back to the car my feet were aching a bit :-)

I do have a card to show you this evening, one that I ave made for my nephew. I have used Wellington Bear which has been decoupaged. Kraft card has been used for the baking card and the backing paper used was from the Wellington kit. I have used some string to decorate the card, some gems from my stash. The greeting has been stamped using memento ink.

Workshop Card - 1st Sept 2016

Today I am showing you the card that we made at Clair's last workshop. It is a card made decorated with rolled flowers which are one of my nemesis!! I do not enjoy doing them at all.  I did do a few but the card was finished off with pre - made roses. Could have probably used a few more flowers on it but it looks ok like this.

For the card we used Sweet Dixie Happy Birthday, Spellbinders Rolled Flowers, MFT Rolled flowers, MFT Rolled Scalloped flower die, and Sue Wilson Noble Stitched Rectangles. Clear sequins and several coloured card.

Sorry You Are Leaving

Last week hubby and I attended the leaving do of one of his ex colleagues. Left the police force after 20 odd years. He is getting on his motorbike and heading round Europe for a month. Rather him than me as I don't like bikes, they scare me!!

Here is the card that I made him using CAP.

Casino and Drusillas

Quick catch up on what I have been up to over the past couple of week. Saturday 27th, hubby and I went out to the casino to celebrate 2 of my friends' birthdays. Didn't win but we had a lovely meal and a good time. This is a picture I took of the both of us before we went out which I really like.

Last Tuesday, 30th, we had the grand children and we took them out to Drusillas. The weather was very hot so we took the boys swimmies. Leon loves the water and it doesn't matter how cold it is but I thought it would be far too cold for Ollie but he loved it as you can see from the pictures. :-)
