Barney The Bear

WOW just finished watching the Olympic Hockey Final, Again very tense match. I don't know about you but I have been loving these Olympics as much as The London games only I am finding I am staying up quite late jut so I can watch it. Still only another couple of days to go.

Today I am sharing with you my recent knotting project. Meet Barney the Bear. I had real difficulty sewing him together (I hate the sewing bit. I do when I have knitted jumpers :-) ), but he will go with my rabbit I made earlier in the year. I would trust he would survive with anyone else :-).

Not sure what my next knitting project will be!! Watch this space!!

A couple of days with the Boys

Last week saw us having 2 days with the boys. Tuesday we took both Leon and Ollie to The Flying Fortress down in Ford. I couldn't take many photos as they are not allowed but as it wasn't very busy I was able to take a sneaky few of Ollie in the baby soft play. He loved crawling around (yes I did say crawling - 6 months old and he is everywhere!!) This place is good for the kids, hige soft play for Leon's age plus trampolines and a lovely area for babies. At the end of the day we took home two knackered kids. :-)

On Thursday we took Leon over to Knockhatch which is an adventure park They have lots of different things for the kids to do. The only downside is that it is a fair weather place, no good really if it is raining. We met up with his friend there and he had another great day.

Sensational Sunday

WOW what a day at the Olympics we had yesterday. So exciting with all these gold medals. Have to say though am knackered with all the late nights :-)

I did get up in my craft room yesterday and I am very pleased with what I created but I will show you that when I have photographed it!

In the meantime here are the cards that we made at Clair's last workshop. I love the simplicity with these cards but my heat embossing needs a bit more work :-) . The stamps are new Avery Elle set called Berry Good. Love the stamps and the sentiments.  the fruit were coloured using promarkers.

Catch Up part One

Well my blogging everyday didn't last long again so I am now on catch up but will try and not bore you with too much info. The last week or so has been quite busy and not much crafting done but here is what I have been doing.
Last post I was saying what a horrible day it had been and hoping that it would get better the following day as I was off to Drusillas with Leon.(3rd August) Well the day turned out lovely. The sun shone and it was quite warmish!!
We met up with his friend and had a lovely day. here are a couple of pictures. We stayed there til it closed cause it is easier to take him straight home rather than coming to Nanny and Grandad's house. After his friend had left Leon decided he would like to go in the wet play so there he went. The water was very cold but kids don't seem to mind do they?

Another birthday, another male card

Today I kept having to check the calendar as it has been cold, windy and rainy, more like November then August. I do feel sorry for all the poor people out camping at the moment, last night was horrendous. Hopefully it will get better over the next couple of days as tomorrow I am off to Drusillas with Leon.

The card I have to share with you today is one I have made for my nephew, another August birthday. For this one I have used Hunkydory again - Magnificent Men - Tech Whizz. Have matted onto silver mirri card and the greeting is from Craftwork Cards.

Inspired by Pintrest

As the last post was not 'craft related' I thought I would treat you to another one showing one of the cards I have made recently.
I've said it before and I will say it again, what a great thing Pintrest is. I save so many card designs but hardly ever look at them again once I have saved them. Bet I'm not the only one though :-). Anyway every now and again one does stick in my mind and I will do my take on it. This is one such time!!

The card is just made of black and red card, 'happy birthday' die (not sure which make think it may be a Sue Wilson one but I may be wrong!!) and a set of alphabet stamps. Quick easy card and great for a teenage boy.
