Wow it's hot...but I'm not moaning.....

What another scorcher it has been today again. Have been decorating my son's bedroom as he has been away for a few weeks studying. It's been hot up in his room but all done now apart from the bedding (which I am going to pick up tomorrow) and the curtains which I hope will be delivered tomorrow also.

Haven't been in my craft room for a couple of days but here are a couple of cards that I made last weekend for two great nephews who's birthdays are in August. (I am now trying to make all my August cards!)

This card I have made in CAP. I made the football backing paper then the greeting. I reprinted the greeting matt and the footballs so that I could decoupage them.

This card was made using a men's kit from Kanban. I have just added some black card  to layer the backing card. The greeting comes from Craftwork cards. (Again I say what would I do without them!!)

Christmas is coming

Here is another Christmas card that I made whilst away at Appleby Magna. This was a card kit brought up by Jennie to AM. It is supposed to be a suspender card but I did it my way (Just bursting into song!!! ) Such a cute image from The Clipart Fairy. I may have to purchase these images.

Some More Christmas Cards

Boy, I'm loving this hot weather... Makes everyone so much happier... My mojo seems to have gone on holiday at the moment so finding it very hard to make some cards and I have a n order to do for a leaving card!
Here are some more cards that I made on my crafty weekend using the Kanban Christmas kit. Very easy and quick cards. All I've added is backing card that came from the kit and some peel off greetings. Don't use a lot of peel offs these days but have so many. Should try to use a few more :-)

These cards are made from another sheet from the Kanban kit. Just added some backing papers and some peel off borders.

ABC Christmas Challenge.

Last year before Christmas I bought a Christmas Kanban kit ready to use for last Christmas's cards and guess what??? I never used it, so I took it up to Appleby Magna and let my crafty buddies have a peruse and take what they wanted (especially the glittered sheets as I don't do glitter!!)

They did leave me some sheets :-) and here is one of the cards. The backing card was from the kit as well as the main image which is decoupaged. The greeting is from Craftwork cards. I did add a bow to the image but ten remembered the challenge over on ABC Christmas Challenge  whose theme this week is

                              'N is for NO Embellishments'

and I thought this fitted the bill so I removed the bow and here it is.

Couple more made at Appleby Magna

Here are another couple of cards that I made at my crafty weekend. They are also from the Inspirations pack I got from Crafters Companion.

The extra bits I added were the spellbinders mat for the greeting on the first card & stamped greeting, second card was the cream mat the image is sitting on and the greeting from Craftwork cards. Also added backing papers and gems.

Some More Crafter's Companion Cards

A couple of posts ago I showed you a card that I made from a Crafter's Companion Inspiration pack. I took the pack up to Appleby Magna with me to my crafty weekend to do if I wanted to. Here are the 4 cards that I made from the pack.
They were so easy to do as everything is in the pack for you. All that was added was a few gems.
Quick and easy cards but effective.

Eddie's Birthday

I have been away for a lovely girly weekend away with some fellow crafters. Got back yesterday. We had a weekend of chat, laughter and drinking (although not too much!!) and a little bit of crafting was done. Will show makes in a later post.

Yesterday was my youngest great nephew's birthday. Here is the card that I made him. It was done in CAP using the DaisyTrail Monsters kit. The background was printed directly on the card and the monsters are 3d'd.
Hope he liked it and it didn't scare him!!
