Freshly Made Sketches Challenge

For this card I have made for my nephew I have followed this weeks sketch over on Freshly Made Sketches
The topper is another Fusion for Men Twisted Pyramage. The backing card comes from my stash, I have tried to match the greeny blue card with the image. I have added some card candi which was made from the same card - circle punch and a ball tool - as I thought it looked too plane. Hope it still follows the sketch :-)

Workshop 23rd July 2015

I'm spoiling you all - my 2nd post of the evening :-). Still trying to play catch up so the card I a showing you is the one that we made at workshop last Thursday.

I have to say that I really like the colour combo and the style. A tri card (2 square card blanks stuck together). The wreath was made using the leaves from the Stampin Up bird punch. The flowers are from the petite petal stamps and punch. The greeting is from Just Rite Grand birthday sentiments. A few gems were added to the flowers to finish it off.

I will definitely be making this card again - maybe even a Christmas version.

Little Claire's Workshop

Last Saturday my friend, Pam and i went up to Crawley to do a workshop with Little Claire. It was the first time we had done one of these and had no idea what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised. We had a great time and ended up making 8 projects during the day. 5 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon.

We were provided with all the materials, tea & coffee during the day. They also had their shop there so a few items jumped into my basket :-)

Here are the projects that we made.

This was made with the stamp set 'Made for Men' coloured with promarkers. Brown backing card and gingham backing paper.

Made with stamp set 'Buttons and Bow'. Backing paper from 'Quirky Quilts' Paper pad

Wall hanging made with the 'Lovely Hedgehog' Stamp set. Coloured with promarkers. Backing paper is from the Quirky Quilts paper pad.

This was made using an outline silhouette sticker - 'Cat birdhouse Tree' I know a lot of people do not like using peel offs as such but I think the Silhouette ones from Little Claire are fab. Backing paper is the Blue Ombre paper.

This is a shaker card made using Silhouette stamp set 'Snowman Tree' Backing paper is 'Fallen Snow -Light Blue'

This is a damond folded card made from kraft card. The stamp is 'Singing Cats' (Can't find it on their website but I have bought it )

This was done using 'March Flowers' I wish I had done an extra flower for the basket. The flower pot is made from kraft card.

Cute Card for my Great Niece

Well what a washout of a day. Been raining all day, really heavy, where has our Summer gone?? I have spent the day chilling and downloading the cards that I made at the Craft Workshop yesterday with Little Claire so watch this space..

The card that I have to show you today is one that I made for my great Niece whose birthday was last week. To be honest I thought I had already blogged this one but I can't find it. I found the image in my download files so not sure where it came from. I passed it into CAP and added the text. Printed it off and then layered it onto pink backing card, I used the same card to make the bow. Added 3 gems to finish the card off.

Following on from the sheep theme, here are a few more Christmas cards that I have made. This time it is from the Hunkydory Christmas Cuties range - Season's Bleatings. The sheep are so cute. Cards made mainly from the kit, just a few gems, mirri card and Christmas greetings from Lilly of the Valley were added.

Workshop Card 9th July 2015

Wow what a difference 2 days have been weather wise. Yesterday we had torrential rain & wind, today has been bright and sunny - welcome to the British Summer.

I have had a lovely day today at a Little Claire workshop in Crawley. We made a total of 8 cards which were all great. More of that though when I have taken the relevant pictures. I seem to be working behind at the moment, but I will catch up!!

The card that I am showing you today is one that we made in craft workshop a couple of weeks ago. When I saw it on Clair's blog , I though 'EEEKK!' but I have to say that I really enjoyed making it. I used a technique that I have never used before and really enjoyed it. The stamps used were by Altnew - Vintage Roses. They were stamped and then 'watercoloured' using a paintbrush. The greeting has been heat embossed. Really classy card I think.

The following are more Christmas cards made whilst I was away at Appleby Magna. Again they were made using Hunkydory Traditional Christmas Kit 'Christmas Choir'. They were made from 1 topper sheet, 2 backing cards & 2 inserts.

DL card - just added gold ribbon, snowflake and Christmas greeting from Lily of the Valley.
6 x 6 square card made completely from the kit just added some small gold gems.

A5 card - made completely from the kit, just added gold mirri card.

8in x 8in square card - made from kit, just added some ribbon and card candi.

Not a very nice day today, rain and wind, such a difference from yesterday but at least I didn't need to water my new grass tonight :-) (Pictures will be forth coming honestly! )

The cards I have to show you today are 3 more Lily of the Valley images from their Art Book - Furry Christmas. Such lovely images and you don't have to colour them in!!! Backing paper, ribbon and gems added and you have easy simple Christmas cards.

Winter Wonderland Challenge

Another beautiful day down here in my corner of the South Coast. Hope you have all been enjoying the lovely sunshine. I am excited today as my garden is now finished and it looks great but more of that in a later post.

I was looking through the blog this morning and came across this weeks challenge at Winter Wonderland which is 'Have a Beary Christmas'. I made a few cards using Lily of the Valley Bears whilst I was away so I thought they would be ideal for the challenge.

I have chosen this one as this is my favourite. The image is from their Art Pad - Furry Christmas which I have cut using a spellbinder die - can't remember which one - red backing card & stripy backing paper. Ribbon added, a few gems and a greeting from Craftwork cards.
