Anniversary Card

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and you got all that you wanted. I had a hectic Christmas day with the grandchildren but it was lovely seeing them. Haven't been doing much crafting over the Christmas period but I do hope to get back to it as soon as possible.

Card I have to show you today was one that I made in Linda's workshop a few months ago. All the fancy frills are cut in individual strips and stuck on. Bit of a pain but gives a lovely effect. I added a butterfly and stamped the greeting and sent it to my nephew and niece for their anniversary.

80th Birthday Card

My mother in law came over to visit a couple of weeks ago and we celebrated her 80th birthday whilst she was here. It was the first birthday we had celebrated with her in over 14 years as she lives in France.

We had a lovely day on her birthday with all her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Here is the card that I made for her. The papers came from a set that I bought in Lidl's. I used Stampin up number dies and stamps. Used petite petals punch to do the flowers.

Something different....

As well as doing card making I have also been trying to scrap the photos that I have taken over the years. I scrap digitally as I find this fun. I am doing year books of my grandsons and the things that I do like holidays, days out etc. I have nearly finished scrapping all my pics from 2017 but have also made a start on 2018. Over the next few days - if I remember :-) - I will be sharing some with you. Today here are a mixture of what I have done from this year.

Friends 70th Birthdays

Today I have 2 cards to show you. A good friend and her husband are both celebrating their 70th birthdays this year.

The first card was made at a workshop with Linda. We made the gold effect paper - can't remember how we did it (menopausal mush brain at the moment :-) ) but is is lovely. having made the card I had some left over so was able to make the 70.

Thois card I have already blogged about. One that i made at my crafty retreat in Aberdeen back in April. I have added a 70 using stampin up number dies.

Birthday Card

Today's card is one that I made at Clair & Sharni's workshop. The card is not my normal type of card as too fussy but I really liked how it turned out.

The card is made from a Mintay Scrapbook collection. Elements have been cut up to produce this layered card. Lots of fussy cutting , texture and distress.

I have added a greeting to my niece and sent it to her for her birthday.

Wedding at Gosfield Hall - Essex

Last weekend we went up to Essex to the wedding of my best friends brother. The wedding was at Gosfield Hall which is a very plush stately hall near Braintree. The venue was beautiful as was the wedding. Luckily the sun shone and the bride and groom are now on honeymoon in Thailand.

The card I have to show you is the wedding card I made them. Very simple on black and white. The images are from MayPLdigital art. Beautiful images and flourishes suitable for weddings. Have just printed the images out, greeting is computer generated. Matted into black and white card.

Horrible Background!!

WOW where is this year going... it seems to be going so fast. Don't know whether I am coming or going. Have not made a card in ages but I do have some which I made earlier...

The card I have to show you today has a bit of a story. Are you sitting comfortably?  On my annual trip to Appleby Magna,  Kim was messing about with doing her own backgrounds and she didn't like this one and threw it away. I rescued it and made it into this card. I used a couple of buttons that Greta gave me and this was the card I made.

Obviously I sent her the card for her birthday. :-)

Hanging Christmas card

We are decorating at the moment so have not had any time in my craft room and I am getting withdrawal symptoms. Luckily I will be going to a workshop tomorrow so will get some crafting done then.

I do have a card of sorts to show you today. This is a hanging Christmas card. The images are decoupage, so are 3D. There is a blank white piece of card on the back for your message. The panels are approximately 4" square with matching ribbon. I will be making some more of these to sell in my Etsy shop.

Our 25th Wedding Anniversary

Bit quiet on the blog front recently due to the fact that I have only been at home for 2 weeks in the last 6!

Back on 9th October, hubby and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We went over to the Isle of Wight for a week to celebrate. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time.

Here is the card that I made for hubby. All done in CAP. Printed out and then matted onto silver and black backing card.

Birthday Card

The card I have to show you today is one that I made at a workshop a couple of months ago.

The backing was made with a stencil and ink mist. Great effect. The flowers are Altenew and if I remember we used the green meadows and the Pocketful of Sunshine ink cube set. The 'just for' stamped greeting has been embossed. I have added the 'sister greeting.

Anniversary Card

Today's card is an anniversary card that I made for my niece and her husband. I got the idea from Pinterest and thought it was a lovely way to use up scraps of backing paper. A very simple but effective card I think.

Birthday & Anniversary Card

I have 2 cards to show you today. Both of these were for my sister's birthday and her wedding anniversary.

First card was made for my sister's birthday. I made the background using Tim Holtz distress inks. Was quite pleased how this turned out. I then used the Woodware 'Sister' large word stamp. This was cut out of some of the backing paper as were the flowers that were stamped from Stampin Up punch/ The greeting comes from 'Fabulous Sayings' stamp set. A few pearls added and the card was finished.

The anniversary card was made at a workshop. For this the word 'Love' was printed onto the card and then filled in with flat backed gems. The hearts were added from Lawn Fawn die. Thought this would make a great anniversary card.

Baby Card

Today's card is a baby one that I made at Clair & Sharni's last workshop. The card base was cut using scalloped die. When I stuck it together it didn't stand right as I stuck it crocked so I too the back off and stuck it on a 7 x 7 card blank. I managed to find backing card that matched the colours. I also added some sequins.

The cute bunny is a Wild Rose stamp which is quite cute. We paper pieced some of the bunny and die cut the letters. Very cute card. Just have to wait for a new baby now!!

A Boys Card

My second post today is a card I made for one of my nephews. I love these images which I got from La Pashe. They are called Wacky Wheels. I had the whole set originally but this was the last one I had.

The image is decoupaged giving iy a 3d appearance. I decided to continue the colour themes of red and black.  Used a vertical 'Happy Birthday' die and card candy.

Family Day at Paultons Park

A couple of weeks ago we took the my son, daughter in law, future daughter in law and grand kids down to Paultons park for the day. We had a great day and lots of fun. With the photos I took and those that we bought, I have made some scrapbook pages and in Craft Artist and printed them out and put them in a book. Here are the pages I made. All 8 x 8.

This last page is a comparison between my 2 grandsons. The top picture is of Leon when he was 2 and 11 months and the bottom one is of Ollie age 2 and 6 months. Can't believe how much smaller Ollie is than Leon at that age :-)
