Crafter's Companion

A couple of months ago I bought the Crafters Companion Inspiration pack which included so papers and a CD. I have made this using on of the Party Paws paper. The backing is all one piece although it looks like it's layered. The buttons are paper as is the butterfly. All I added to the card was the pink matt the topper is sitting on and the computer generated greeting. I just added a few gems. Very easy way to make a card.

Fun in the Sun

Just to prove that we did have at least one day of sunshine here is my grandson, Leon having fun in the sun at the paddling pool in Drusillas - a local zoo park. Even though the water was cold he loved splashing about and even tripped at one point and fell head first in and he just got up and laughed!! Just wished he would look at the camera!!!

The layout was done in CAP (my favourite toy at the moment).

Major General's Review

A couple of weeks ago, well 1st of June to be exact, we went to London to watch the Major General's review at Horse Guards Parade. It's the dress rehearsal for the Trooping of the Colour which was held last weekend. I have often sat and watched the Trooping of the Colour on the telly and wished that I could go and this was the nearest thing and it was great.

There were a few mistakes - the officers marching was awful!! so out of line and step!! and there was also a naughty horse who was very skittish and the poor soldier kept loosing his helmet which didn't go down too well!

Overall though it was brilliant and made me so proud to be British! I will definitely be going again nest year if possible.

Here is a scrapbook page that I have done in CAP with some of the pictures I took.

Been Away on Holiday

Had another busy couple of weeks recently culminating in me going away for a week for a break with a friend. Last minute holiday to Tenerife doing nothing but lying by the pool! Sheer bliss but now back to reality and getting those family cards done.

I have been having a play in CAP and will show you a couple of the pages I have come up with in a later blog but back to my latest card. An anniversary card for my sister and brother in law. I have followed the sketch over on Tuesday Morning sketches

The card has been done in CAP as it needed to be done quick but am really pleased with how it came out. Various kits have been used.

Here is the sketch.

My card.
