Linda's Workshop

Had a lovely afternoon yesterday at Linda's making the following 2 cards. The first one was made using Stampin Up Beautiful You stamps and a mask with white ink. Really love this card, the simplicity of it is beautiful.

The flower on this card was made from foam that is die cut, then heated and shaped. My flower is supposed to be a daisy but looks more of a wild chrysanthemum :-). I really enjoyed making it was so easy.
The background stamp is a hero arts one I think. It was stamped using versimark and then silver embossing powder was used.(Yes I used it and survived!!) A couple of gems added and then voila!! Will definitely be making more flowers if I can find some flower dies!

My Boys

No card or crafty items to show you today but I do have my lovely grandsons to show you. Leon had a school assembly this morning where he was an ant!! The assemble was lovely and I was one proud Nanny, however at the end of the assembly the kids all sang a beautiful song and I blubbed like a baby, all I could think about was the beautiful little girl Saffy that died in the bombings in Manchester. Her Nanny and Grandad will never d=get to see her perform in her school assembly's again!

So I cherished today with my boys as I will every day!

Hubby's Birthday

It was also my hubby's birthday on Sunday but cause Leon was born on this day, his birthday always takes a backseat but I always try and celebrate in some way. This year my friend cooked us a nice Sunday roast following Leon's party. She did some balloons for him and got him a cake. (Only one candle as there wasn't enugh room on the cake for all of them!!! )

It was a nice surprise for him bit it all got too much after dinner :-)

Here is his card I made him.  Using the golfer stamp that I had. Matted and layered i onto card cut with spellbinders circles and scalloped circles. Backing paper comes from a papermaina pad that I had. Made the candy out of scraps of black card I had left and greeting from my stash.

A Play, a 60th and a 6th birthday

So another busy week - what have I done? I'm not really sure but it has been busy :-)

Yesterday we went to the theatre to see 'The Play That Went Wrong'. What a great play it was. If you ever get the chance to see it you need to!! My sides hurt from laughing so much. After the play hubby I went on to a friend's 60th birthday party. We arrived a bit late but we still had lots of fun.

Here is the card that I made for Steve. He is a golf fan. The stamp was one that I bought from someone that was selling off some bits. The backing paper is from a papermania pad that I have and the numbers are from Stampin Up. Backing card and bakers twine are from my stash.

Now today is my husband's and oldest grandson's birthdays. Leon is 6 today. Where has that time gone? He had a party at a soft play which he enjoyed of course. Here are a few pictures of both of my grandsons.

Got all too much for some. :-)

Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge Card

Well today I managed to get up in my craft room and make my grandson a card who is 6 next week - (where has that time gone???),

I had an idea in my head so I decided to look for a challenge that would fit the bill..and I found one over on Cardz 4 Guyz. Their theme is:-
Inspired by a Film, a Book or Music

My inspiration was JURASSIC PARK.  Leon loves dinosaurs at the moment so the free papers that came with last months 'Making Cards' magazine was ideal.

Here is my card.

Items used:- Free papers from Making Cards Magazine
Sizzix Lollipop Number set
Stampin Up Numbers stamp set
Backing card, greeting ad buttons all come from my stash.

Lets hope he likes it!!
