Craft Room Update

So over the last few days I have been having a good sort out in my craft room. Well I had to get it started because my hubby went and gave away my cupboard come wardrobe so I had to clear it out so there was more stuff on the floors but I am slowly getting there. On Sunday (we have the grandkids staying tomorrow night) I will be emptying the room completely into their room, under the beds etc so hubby can sort the floor etc out while I am away next week.

Today's job was sorting out all my bits/scraps of card/paper. You know those of cuts that all crafters keep 'just in case'! Well I have been ruthless and got rid of most of it. It will be taken down to my oldest grandson's school on Tuesday.

Here is the pile that they will be getting.

Here is what my craft room looks like now! Look I do have a floor :-) :-)

p.s I have taken over the wardrobe in the guest room with my craft stuff :-)

Catching up on my April Cards

So if you follow my blog you know that I am in the process of clearing my craft room so that the floor can be sorted....not going well as I keep finding things I want to do. However hubby has said that if I can get it cleared over the net week he will start decorating in next weekend and finish when I am away in Aberdeen ( of on a crafty retreat with a few friends in a week or so) So yesterday I decided to sort out the cards that I need for April and have them all done. Luckily I only had to make 2 from scratch, add a bit to one of them and the rest I have found from my box - joys of doing many workshops. :-)

Unfortunately I can't show any of them at the moment as some of the recipients may see them as I have personalised some but here is a sneak preview of the stuff I used :-)

I will bore you and show a post of the before, during and after my craft room refit :-)

Clair & Sharni's Workshop 5th Apr

Haven't done much crafting over the last week or so as I am trying to sort out my craft room - still!!!

I did attend Clair & Sharni's workshop yesterday and we made these cute cat & dog cards.

Sharni's Card
This card was made using MFT stamps and dies. I coloured them using some water coloured pens.

Clair's card was made using MFT 4 legged friends stamp & die sets. Really cute doggies.

Clair & Sharni's Workshop card

We did a bit of sewing at Clair & Sharni's workshop last week. It was originally meant to be an Easter card but as I don't do cards for Easter, I made it into a birthday card.

The flower was a cutting file cut onto an oval and we could stitch it how we wanted to. I used red, blue, green and purple. The backing matt was embossed with a chevron embossing folder.

Not sure if I would do another one but found the stitching very therapeutic.

Debbie's Workshop - 21st March

Here are the 3 projects that we made at Debbie's workshop last week. All made with Stampin Up products.

This card was made using Blossoming Basket Bundle which includes the flower basket and the lovely embossing folder

This card was made using High Tide stamp set

This is a box in a bag! You start with making a little box and then wrap the double sided paper around it to form the bag. Lovely little gift bag.
