Hubby is 60

Ok so as previously stated it was also my husband's 60th birthday on Monday. I am having a surprise birthday party for him this weekend which he probably won't be happy with :-) but since Leon was born his birthday has been taking a back seat so as this one is a biggy he gets a party!! Watch this space to see how he enjoys it! This is him with his cake he had on ho birthday.

I did make a card sometime ago for him but with the upheaval of my craft room being decorated I couldn't find it..opps!!.. so I had to make him another one....quickly!
I got the image of the internet and designed the wording in CAP. Another simple card . I have then matted it onto black and blue card.

My Grandson is 7.....

On Monday my oldest grandson reached the grand old age of 7.... where has that time gone??? He is growing up far too fast :-)

We had a party for him on Sunday and he picked out his own cake which as you can see is covered in sweets!!!

Here is the card that I made him. He still very much loves The Minions so hence his card. The image I got off the internet and I designed the card on CAP.

Nephew's Card

Wow what a busy week. Have my mother in law staying at the moment - not sure that I told you that - so we are staying n the spare room as she can't climb stairs. Also as I have mentioned I am decorating my craft room at the moment so crafting is limited. Glad to say the decorating is finished but I am not getting my new furniture until next week so stuff is still all in boxes...I need to get it done so I can start crafting again... not only family cards etc but have a lot of ideas :-) It was also my grandson & hubby's birthday on Monday and we had a party for Leon on Sunday and I have a surprise birthday party for hubby this Saturday as he is 60.

Anyway I do have a card to show you which I made weeks ago for my nephew's birthday. I have used Wellington Bear. I do love this bear. Simple card with the topper and backing paper & card, some twine and finish it off.

Effie's Christening

My great - niece, Effie Rose, was christened a couple of weeks ago. Unfortunately I could not go as I was up in Aberdeen on a crafting retreat but here is the card that I made from her.

The large letters are from a stamp set that I have ( I have thrown away the original packaging so I do not know which make they are - oops!! ) These were stamped onto patterned paper and then cut out by hand. Rose was cut using a sizzix alphabet die. The greeting is from Hunkydory book of sentiments. Added some ribbon and some gems.

Maisie's Card

The card that I have to show you today was for one of my great-nieces, Maisie. I originally made the card at Linda's workshop and decided to adapt it by putting Maisie's name on it. The alphabet was from sizzix.

Been Awol!!

Sorry, have neglected my blog, been very busy, had a weekend away at a crafting retreat in Aberdeen (more to come soon) - been to France to see my in-laws for a week and am still trying to clear my craft room for decorating :-). I am getting withdrawals from crafting as all my stuff is packed away.

However I do have some cards to show you which were made prior to being so busy! Here is the first one. A new home card made using a topper from Hunkydory's little book. Greeting also used from their sentiment book.

Craft Room Update

So over the last few days I have been having a good sort out in my craft room. Well I had to get it started because my hubby went and gave away my cupboard come wardrobe so I had to clear it out so there was more stuff on the floors but I am slowly getting there. On Sunday (we have the grandkids staying tomorrow night) I will be emptying the room completely into their room, under the beds etc so hubby can sort the floor etc out while I am away next week.

Today's job was sorting out all my bits/scraps of card/paper. You know those of cuts that all crafters keep 'just in case'! Well I have been ruthless and got rid of most of it. It will be taken down to my oldest grandson's school on Tuesday.

Here is the pile that they will be getting.

Here is what my craft room looks like now! Look I do have a floor :-) :-)

p.s I have taken over the wardrobe in the guest room with my craft stuff :-)
