Will you be my Bridesmaid & Save the Date Cards

So as I have mentioned before my son is getting married next year and they are having an Alice themed wedding. My future daughter in law wanted to send her Matron of Honour and bridesmaids a card asking them to be bridesmaid. I have already shown you the Matron of Honour card here. The bridesmaid cards are along the same lines.

I can now also show you the 'Save the Date 'cards as they should all be handed out by now.  I had the idea for them after looking through Pinterest. We decided to go with the tag idea.  They are based on Alice again and as you can see I have put the White Rabbit on it. Added some Alice blue ribbon and some magnetic tape on the back.

I was really pleased with them and so were they.

Decorated Photo Frame

Today I have another project from the Papeterie Crafts Retreat that I went to in April. This time it is a butterfly frame.

Wooden frame that has been decorated using Hero Arts Paris background stamp, Tim Holtz Stencil, Aladine pearly texture paste, clear embossing powder and distress ink

Loved how it has turned out. Will probably look at doing some more. :-)

Shadow Box

Today I have to show you another project from the Craft Retreat at The Papeterie In April. This was one of Charlotte's projects, a shadow box using Graphic 45 Papers - Cafe Parisian.

I went rogue with mine and did it completely different to the example. I still have the onside to finish but until I know what I am going to use it for I don't know what to do.

I do like the Graphic 45 papers, I may have to put them on my wish list.

Wall Hanging

Followers to my blog are aware that I have recently come back from a week away with some crafty buddies. We each had to do a project for each person to do. This was my project - a wall hanging.

I have a lot of material squares that I bought years ago to make padded cards. For my project though I decided to do a wall hanging. First you cut 6 squares of thick card. Place some padding on top of one of the squares. fold over the patterned material and secure at the back. Once you have done all the squares, place ribbon at the back of the squares and then cover the back with another piece of card. Great for gifts. I ill be making more ans selling them in my Etsy shop.

Using up the Negative

A couple of months ago I made a card at Clair & Sharni's workshop using MFT die Happy Birthday. I managed to cut it out in the middle of the piece of card so I was left with the negative which I decided to use on another card.

here is the card I made using it. I kept the bits for the letters. A simple card but it uses up the scraps. I just added some matching coloured buttons and I used it for my youngest great nephew's birthday.

First Batch of Male Cards

One of my goals this year is to use up all my old stash before buying any new stuff.  The buying hasn't worked out - oops - but I have been using up old stash. I also have limited male cards in my card box so thought i would do these to.

The cards that I have to show you today are all made out of a Hunkydory kit - Magnificent Men -Off to the Party. I managed to make 5 cards from the kit and they will all be on sale in my Etsy shop

The crds are made using mainly the kit with the odd 'Happy Birthday' die used to finish them off.

Old card made good!

One of the good things about having to clear out your craft room is coming across a box of cards that I have made over the years.

The card that I have to show you is one that I made several years ago. A stamped image that I coloured using promarkers. The flowers I think are 'Fred's Flowers' I think. I added some gems to the flowers and used it for my Great Niece.
