You've Been Framed!

That's the challenge this week over on Crafty Cardmakers & More.... and I have decided to take part in it.

I have followed the sketch on Sketch & Stash challenge blog so am also entering my card into that. Here is the sketch:

I have used my new Tattered Lace shoe die and chosen a colour scheme of black and white.

For my card I have used the following:-

White card blank
Black and White backing card from my stash
Tattered Lace Shoe die
Martha Stewart edge punch
Spellbinders 'Large Label' die
Flowers are from stash (3 instead of 2 - it has to be an odd number!)
Greeting and card candy from Craftwork Cards.

Chilly Monday

After a beautiful weekend it's quite chilly today and overcast. Not much like Spring at all.

My card today is an 8in x 8in card majority of it done in CAP. The topper is from the Crafters Companion BeBunni papercrafting CD collection. Printed the topper off but wasn't the right colour to go with the card so coloured it with my promarkers. Added some gems and birthday greeting from Craftwork Cards. The card is for my great niece who will be 2 at the end of April.

I have used the Katy Sue CD 'Fabulous Fellas'. The topper, greeting and backing papers all come from the CD. Backing card and gems are from my stash.

My First Christmas Card of 2014

Looking through blog land today and came across the challenge at Winter Wonderland which is 'Paint the Town Red' - Christmas Theme using lots of red. Here is my card. Again I have followed a sketch, this time from Sunday Sketch and Stamp challenge here. Here is the sketch.

Here is my card. I am not sure what make the stamp is but I know it came in a set of 4. I stamped it using memento ink and coloured it with Berry red promarker. The frame and corners were cut from red mirri card using Spellbinders di-lites frame 1. Backing paper is from Papermania 'Deck the Halls' paper pad. Poinsettia and gems are from my stash.

Gone Fishing!

Well I hope you are all well out there in blogland. I thought my cough had gone but it is still hanging around. Not as bad as it was but still there. Grotty day today here in the South Coast. Quite chilly and it has been raining on and off. Haven't been up in my craft room for a few days so have spent the afternoon up there making a couple of cards for some challenges.

The card I am showing you first is being entered in 2 challenges. The first being Cardz 4 Guyz and their challenge is Gone Fishing. I have followed the sketch over on Sketch Saturday :-

For my card, the image and backing paper has come from the La Pashe cd 'Something for Everyone'. Backing card was from my stash and the greeting is from Craftwork Cards.

Potted Plants

Well what a hectic week I have had. Hubby and I went away last weekend down to the New Forest and we had beautiful weather. We got back home on Monday. Tuesday hubby went off to work and then I got a phone call to say that he had collapsed and was being taken up to A&E. After calming down after a panic attack I got the the hospital and he was out of it, kept saying his head really hurt. They gave him pain killers and took bloods. After a couple of hours or so he started coming too and head stopped hurting. Bloods were fine and they sent him home. Didn't know what had caused it. Wasn't happy that they hadn't done any more test especially as it was his head. We have since gone to the GP and they asked him far more questions than the A&E doctor did. They think it may be his blood pressure tablets causing the black out but I'm still not convinced. If the headaches carry on he needs to go back.

Wednesday I had Leon, my grandson and he was a nice light relief. He is getting so funny. Taking him home he was watching Thomas The Tank Engine on my phone. When I get him out the car I took the phone which he wasn't too impressed about but he didn't cry or have a tantrum, but when I went to give him a kiss and cuddle he turned to me, folded his arms and said 'No! I am cross!' and he walked away.  Well I was told wasn't I? He will be 3 in May!

Right for my card today I started this last week and finished it today. I have used an 8in x 8in square card blank, silver mirri card, Hunkydory collection, 'For the ladies' and used the sheet 'My potted plants', gems and a greeting from Craftwork cards. The image is decoupaged.

Having a play with CAP

Today has been beautiful, weather wise and we have had a lovely day with our Grandson at Drusillas. He was a whirlwind today - never stopped and poor hubby was the one who had to do the chasing and the climbing on the frames etc cause I have a bad neck - pulled a muscle, washing my hair in the shower yesterday!!!). Poor man is knackered now!!

The cards today were made using Craft Artist Professional, using kits La Femme and Secrets. I have added backing card and gems to finish the cards. The backing papers were also printed from the digi kits.

Such easy cards but very effective I think.

Anniversary card

The last couple of days have been beautiful. We were promised warm weather today but it has been very chilly today. The sun has been in and out all day but now as dusk falls so has the temperature.

My card today is from Crafters Companion's Party paws cd. Made in conjunction with the Party Paws digi kit. Just added backing card, a spellbinders nestie and some gems. The topper has been put on 3d foam to make it stand out.

Acid Drops and Whatnots

One of my favourite finds over the last year are the stamps and toppers from Acid drops and Whatnots. The quirky characters are great for quick simple cards. I purchased all their toppers recently and made one card for a friends birthday here. So having a sort out of my craft room or should I say attempted tidy up :-) - I came across the partially used topper sheet and decided to use the remaining toppers and came up with the following cards. All similar but different.

A couple of Mother's Day cards

Was having a play around in my craft room yesterday and decided that I needed to use up some of the craft paper scraps I have in a basket on my desk and use some of the decoupage flowers that I had already made up, and what a better way to do that then making some Mother's day cards.

Backing card from my stash, patterned papers from my bits basket, decoupage flower toppers (not sure where they came from as they had already been made up!), gems, ribbon and greetings from Craftwork cards.

Just like buses.....

...no cards for ages and then 4 come at once!!!!!

All these cards were made from Hunkydory's kit 'First Bloom'. It was the first kit that made me fall in love with Hunkydory's kits. I bought one of their magazines and the kit came free. The kits make such easy but lovely cards. All I added to these were gold mirri card, some gems and ribbon. Everything else was in the kit.
8in x 8in card, all bits come from the kit. Just added gems and ribbon.

This one is made with backing card and greeting comes from Craftwork Cards

Backing card, topper and greeting all from the kit.

Backing card, topper and Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

Craft Class 06/03/14

We have had a beautiful couple of days, makes me feel so much better with the sun shining. Today has been a mixed bag, sunshine early this morning and then we had light drizzle and then the sun came out this afternoon. Went to the doctors this morning cause I still have my cough. Everything was fine, stats were fine, chest and lungs clear, thinks it could be viral but as 5 weeks is a long time to have a cough, if it's still here in a week then I have to go back and they will do more investigations...

Yesterday was my fortnightly craft group and here is the card that we made. When I first saw it on Clair's website I didn't like it much as thought it looked too hard but iit was easy and I had fun making it. We used mainly Stampin up products. 3 different backing papers, leaf stamps, flower punch, ready made flower, bird punch and pearls.

2 for the price of 1

Well what a beautiful day we have had here today, cold but nice and bright. Dare we say Spring is coming??

My card today was made using the sketch on Tuesday Morning Sketches (although I have just noticed I have missed a bit - hopefully it will still pass!). Over on Cardz 4 Guyz, their challenge this week was music so I have combined the both.

The card has been designed in CAP using various kits and I even managed to do a punch out that I have never done before.

Here is the sketch

And here is my card.
