Birthday Cards

Not a workshop this time, made these all by myself :-) . Am going to try to use up some of my crafty stash over the next few months along with trying to sort my craft room out.

The following cards were made using up some kanban toppers I bought years ago. Just added some embossing folders, card candy, bakers twine and greetings.

Julie Hickey's - Craftwork Cards - Workshop

Back in either September or October I did a workshop up in Crawley with Julie Hickey from Craftwork Cards. It was a full day workshop and we made several projects from their new ranges.

I enjoyed all the projects that we did apart from one with a fairy door and I have to say that unfortunately that ended up in the bin!!

Here are the pictures of the projects.

Anniversary Card & Moving House.....

......not me but my son and girlfriend (well fiancee now :-) ). On Friday 1st December they received the keys to their first house and after just over 2 years of living with us they moved into their new house. It was also very special as my son proposed to his girlfriend before they entered the house & she said yes!! Very happy mummy!!

I do have a card to show you. This is one I made for my friend's anniversary. Made using an image from Hunkydory's Little books Smudge & Mitten. Just used patterned and plain card to matt and layer. Some ribbon and the image is from LOTV.

Catch Up

My my what a busy month I have had since I last blogged. Firstly we took my oldest grandson across to the Isle of Wight for a few days. This would be the last time would take him on his own as next year we will take the little one also. The week consisted mainly of soft play. That's all he likes to do. :-)  Here are a couple of pictures of him

We got back on the Friday and then on the Sunday hubby and I went on our first long cruise. We sailed on P&O's Ventura. Beautiful ship and a fantastic time we had. We sailed from Southampton and called at Lisbon, Tenerife, Grand Canaria, La Palma and Madeira. All beautiful places. We enjoyed it so much that we have booked another for next September on the Britannia this time down to the Med.
Here is one of the professional photographs that we had taken on one of the formal nights on board. Don't scrub up too bad do we?

Obviously with all these holidays I haven't had much time to craft but I have been to a couple of workshops. This is the box that we made at the last Saltdean workshop with Clair and Sharni. Was made using tonic dies. A lot of die cutting but looks really good made up. More dies for my wish list :-)

Anniversary Cards

October is a month for anniversaries - I have 4 including my own. :-) I have 2 lots of friends celebrating their anniversaries as well as my eldest son and his wife. I have already shown you the card I made for my hubby.

Today I am showing you the card I made for some very good friends of mine who celebrated their anniversary on Monday. I have used an image from the Hunkydory Little Book of Wrinklies. I love these images. I love the little books but my only complaint is I wish that Hunkydory would do square ones :-)

Paul the hubby of the couple asked if I would make his wife a card from him and here is what I did. Again I used the Wrinklies little book but this time I die cut it using circle and scalloped circle dies. The greeting was made up of several stamps that I had which I put together.

Happy Birthday to Me

So 2nd October was my birthday and as usual I received some lovely cards from my crafty friends. This year I forgot to post them earlier but here they are. They are all lovely don't you agree.? :-)

The little hand written card was from my 9 year old niece in France. The stickers are smelly ones that smell of lollies and chips!! :-)

Happy Anniversary

Been a bit quiet recently but that's cause I have been quite busy and haven't got anything new to show you. I have had a birthday and I had some lovely handmade cards which I will show you once I get round to photographing them.

I did go on a Crafting Day on Saturday with Julie Hickey from Craftwork Cards which was a lot of fun. Again I have a couple to finish but once I have I will photograph them and blog them.

However I do have my hubby' anniversary card I made him to show you which I nearly forgot to do!!

For his card I used an image of James the Bear from Lily of the Valley. The Happy Anniversary was cut from a die, can't remember who made it though. Was really pleased with how this turned out.

Welcome Effie Rose to the World

As mentioned in my previous post my nephew and wife's baby daughter decided to enter the world yesterday morning at 4.01am, 3 weeks early. She weighed in at 6lb 10oz . Her name is Effie Rose.

Here is my nephew and his beautiful daughter

This is the card that I made them (details on previous post.)

Effie Rose is my sister's first grand child so I had to make her and my brother in law a card. For this I used the Adorable Elephants from MFT which I just love. The greeting was from several stamps that I had. The backing card was from my stash. I have embossed the white card as it looked very plain. I have added some random sequins.

For a gift I knitted these 2 matinee jackets a couple of months ago.

Here is my card.

For the card I used a Hunkydory Kit - Little Treasures - added some backing card and ribbon to complete the look.

Workshop Cards 7th September 2017

Realised that I hadn't shown you the cards that we made in the previous workshop with Clair & Sharni.

The stamp sets used are both from Altenew.
Clair's Card
I like this card very much although I do not like mine. I messed up on the colouring ( I didn't have the right colours so instead of waiting til I got home I went ahead and messed up) so am not happy with it. The stamp set used was Build - A - Flower - Ranunculus. Would like to do it again but colour it differently.

Sharni's Card

I much preferred the outcome of this card. This was made using the Build-A-Flower-Coral Charm. Each part was stamped using a different ink from Glacier Caves Mini Ink Cube Set. Saves all the worry out of shading and colouring.

Sisters' Birthday and Anniversary

I have been absent from my blog for some time due to a holiday in France to visit my mother in law. I had a lovely time although I did fall down her kitchen step and twist my knee the day before we were due to come home. Luckily there wasn't much damage and it is a lot better now all bar it still aching.

The crafting I have to show you today is a present that I made for my sister for her birthday. The card I made her was one I had made previously but I decided to make her a little pressie.

Wooden box frame is 3" x 3". I have used a wooden letter that I have covered in patterned paper and then added some gems and a butterfly.
