On Thursday in craft workshop we made this card for those all important 'but very difficult to make for' men in our lives. I really liked this card right from the start.
It is made from die cut and punched shapes stuck on card. The grid pattern is plasterboard joint tape (known as scrim apparently!!) and then it's covered in bits and pieces of aluminium foil tape used for pipe lagging. It's then all smoothed out and pressed into place with some kitchen roll. Embossing tools are then used to bring out the shapes etch. Drops of black and orange ink is dropped onto the card and then dabbed and wiped over the card to give the metal effect. More layers of ink can be added to achieve the effect that you want.
