Get Well Card

Well what a funny couple of days weather wise we have had sown in this part of the South Coast. Am due away next Monday so I am hoping that Summer may show it's face again!

The card I have for you today is for my friend's Mum who had to go into hospital last week to have a kidney removed as they found a tumour. The operation all went well but they are waiting on tests results to make sure that the cancer hasn't spread. Here is the card that I made. The image is Tatty Ted. I have used pink and blue backing card. Image cut out with oblong nestie and matted onto scalloped nestie. Spellbinders ribbon slider and greeting from craftwork cards. Ribbon and gems added to finish card off.

Craft Workshop 12/06/14

The weather today has taken a turn for the worse, still very warm and muggy but the brilliant sunshine we have had over the last few days has gone. Hopefully not for long though.

My card today was made at Craft workshop last Thursday. When I first saw the card I loved it but  thought there would be lots of faffing about with paper piercing etc but I was wrong. It all comes from the Nitwit range and everything was printed off the cd. All we had to do was cut it out. Simples!! The banner and flowers are from Stampin up. Cute 8 x 8 card.

Anniversary Cards & 21st

What a beautiful couple of days we have had. Is Summer finally here? Shush or we may frighten it away. :-)

During the evening I have been having a play with CAP and have come up with these 3 cards below.

The first card is for an old friend of mine. It's her 5th wedding anniversary. The backing paper, heart and writing was all done in CAP. Then printed it out and layered it on gold mirri card and black card. Then just added some tiny clear gems to finish it off.

This card was done using Fuzzy Moon digi kit. Another anniversary card but totally flat so cheaper to send via the post.

Last card is for my nephews girlfriend who is 21 this month. Again I have used a Fuzzy Moon digi kit. All I have added once printed out was pink backing card and a large clear gem.

Wedding Card

Been a naughty blogger again as not been very well over the last week or so but back on track now and we have had a lovely weekend weather wise.

Here is a card I made a couple of weeks ago for a challenge but them forgot to enter it - opps!! Picture not brilliant as it has silver mirri card. It's a wedding card made from a Hunkydory kit.  The backing card is matted onto silver mirri card as is the topper. I have added some little flowers to finish it off.

Card Workshop 29th May 2014

On Thursday in craft workshop we made this card for those all important 'but very difficult to make for' men in our lives. I really liked this card right from the start.

It is made from die cut and punched shapes stuck on card. The grid pattern is plasterboard joint tape (known as scrim apparently!!) and then it's covered in bits and pieces of aluminium foil tape used for pipe lagging. It's then all smoothed out and pressed into place with some kitchen roll. Embossing tools are then used to bring out the shapes etch. Drops of  black and orange ink is dropped onto the card and then dabbed and wiped over the card to give the metal effect. More layers of ink can be added to achieve the effect that you want.
