My first wobbler

Sunday was a funny old day, weather was horrible again, nothing much on the telly so I decided to put a DVD on (Evita - needed a bit of eye candy in Antonio Bandares) and made my first wobbler.
They are really cute and easy cards to make and I will definitely be making a few more.

Quick order......

There I was yesterday evening about 5.30pm up in my craft room sorting some stuff out when the phone rang and it was hubby (he was at work!) can you make a quick Valentines card for Chunky (one of the dog handlers). He'll be round at about 9 to pick it up...
Nothing like leaving it to last minute but this is what I came up with. The image is a 'me to you' bear and the paper is from my stash. I just layered the image on car cut with nesties, did a computer generated greeting, added some ribbon and gems from my stash and there you have it..card done!.

My card for yesterday...

I did get round to making a card yesterday. It is from La Pashe's series 'Nice and Easel' and they can be bought here.

This is the golden rose one. The main image is decoupaged, layered onto card from my stash. The sentiment came on the sheet. The plain card was edged using the Stampin Up scalloped edge punch. Added a bit of ribbon and some gems.

Rain, rain and more rain...

Well what a horrible day yesterday was. It never stopped raining the whole day and it was dismal.
In the evening I went out for Hubby's Christmas do. We went to Smith and Western in Horsham. It was a really lovely evening and that food was great. The wine was good also...oops! I drank a little to much and was a bit squiffy, but still 2 paracetamol and a glass of water before I went to bed and no hangover...works every time.
Anyway, because the day was so crap I did some more sorting in my craft room and came across the handmade cards that I received at Christmas. I love receiving handmade cards as they always give me inspiration. I thought I would share them with you.

Back to Winter.......

What a difference a day makes.. following on from a glorious day yesterday, it's back to dull damp and yucky today. Didn't stop ,e from going out for my daily walk though. Had to go to make a couple of doctor's appointments so called in there on the way to the post office.

This afternoon I made a couple of cards as below. On a bit of a roll at the moment.
This card, as you can see it's for an anniversary card. The topper is a Forever Friends one which has been matted onto white and pink card cut with a couple of nesties. The is peel-offs put on a matt cut from a stampin up punch. The paper is from Craftwork Cards. The swirly paper has been edged with a Martha Stewart edging punch. A few gems and ribbon to finish it off.

The following card is made for one of my niece's husband..(that sounds terrible :-) sounds like she has loads..) I mean that I have a few nieces..... anyway this is the card that I made.
I had forgotten that I had bought the wacky wheelz They come from La Pashe. I bought them from Imag-e-nation. I found them while sorting some stuff out. Glad I did. The image is decoupaged. I spent ages trying to decide what backing paper I had that was suitable. I again went rummaging in a drawer I hadn't been into for a long time. I found a load of corrugated card that did the job. I layered it onto black card
and added a few bits of card candy to finish it off. Such a simple card but I think effective.

What a beautiful day.....

Well today has been a very beautiful day. It has been cold but bright and sunny (perfect winter's day). I was a lady that did lunch today.. I had a lunch date with my oldest friend whom I haven't seen in such a long time. We were going to be meeting at 1pm at Brighton Marina. She texted me to say that she was going to be a bit late as her dog, Jess had been sick, so I found myself a seat overlooking the boats, put my Ipod on and relaxed. The sun was lovely and warm and if you closed your eyes it felt like the Summer. Unfortunately I didn't have my camera with me and only took a photo on my phone and i can't download them to the computer. When she arrived we went into Frankie and Benny's for a lovely meal and a long catch up chat. A very lovely time I had to!

Now down to my latest cards. These I made yesterday. The first one, as you can is an anniversary card for my cousin's daughter and her husband. It's a bit LILAC but I like it. The image is Forever Friends (having a bit of a run of those at the moment) and is a pre done topper. It has been matted onto bazzill bling card cut with a Nellie Snellen nestie. the backing paper is from my stash as is the gems, flowers and ribbon. The greeting came with the topper and I have just layered it onto a double ended tag from Spellbinders.

The following card has been made for my hubby. Thought I'd better make him one as I make a big fuss if he doesn't get me a card. The image, (another Forever Friends) is decoupaged. The paper and greetings all came with the kit and all I did was add some card candy. A quick and easy card.

Some cards & Jewellery

Yesterday I decided that I needed to do some crafting as I was getting some withdrawal symptoms.

Just recently I have been buying some beads etc and decided I would see if I could make a necklace. here is what I made....2nd attempt cause as I was securing it the thread broke and I had beads everywhere.. I'm not 100% pleased with it but it's ok for a first attempt...(well 2nd if you count Appleby Magna).

This morning I was sitting in my craft room finishing off my son's birthday card when the youngest one came in and asked me if I would make him a valentine's card for his fiancée. This is what I came up with.
The image is a decoupaged forever friend's bear. The backing paper came with the decoupaged kit. I used nesties labels 10 to matt and layer the image. I then ran it through the cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder. The flower I cut using the EK success large daisy die as I didn't have any flowers to match the card colour. A sparkly brad was used for the center. The greeting was in the kit and I just mounted it on the same colour card. I added some ribbon and some gems and the card was done.

This is the card that I have made for my step son. Not sure if I like it not..you know when you have a picture in your mind of how a card is gonna look but then it turns out different, well this is what this one did.
The image is a decoupaged one and this was matted onto some ready made card from Craftwork cards. A computer generated greeting and some card candy to finish it off.
