My second card of the year

Not doing too well on the blog front this year so far or with card making to be fair. I am beginning to miss the card making but am determined to get my craft room sorted before I do any. The big de-clutter has started and I am quite pleased with myself for what I am getting rid of. I will post some pictures of my craft room shortly. Looks a bit different from before..still quite a way to go but we are getting there.

Last week hubby and I had a few days away in the New Forest. I love it down there. I will post a couple of pictures in my next post when I have sorted them. I have started knitting again and doing cross stitch as well which I am enjoying. Nearly finished both items so will show you them too.

In the meantime I do get to make cards one a fortnight with the Craft workshop I go to and this is the card we made a couple of weeks ago. Such a sweet card. Love the image which is a LOTV stamp - James peeping -  now on my wish list - the paper is from Nitwits 'Gentleman Folk' and the 'Happy' is from MFT alpha dies and the 'Birthday die is from Little B.

No cards but have made something

Well you will be pleased to know that the big de-clutter has begun on my Craft room although I still haven't a hope in hell at the moment of crafting as I can't even see my desk now!! However one of my plans for 2015 is do a few more different crafts. One of these being knitting.

My mum taught me knitting when I was about 11, she was always knitting and a very good knitter she was too. As i got older I turned to cross stitch but I still liked to knit and when my boys were younger I used to knit them picture jumpers, they had Thomas, Ghostbusters and The Teenage Ninja Turtles. When my mum died for some reason I couldn't knit anymore and got rid of all my stuff. Then a few years ago I agreed to knit a cardy for a friends mother which I did but didn't enjoy. Then for last Christmas I knitted Leon a Thomas jumper and this time I really did enjoy doing it.  So early last year I decided I wanted to knit something so decided on a baby's cardigan and here are the results. Took me ages to finish them but I got there in the end.

Not sure what I am going to do with them, probably wait til there is another baby in the family..nothing like being prepared.

I now have some more wall that I bought in America and all I need to do now is decide what I want to make with it,

First card of 2015

Since my last post I have not touched my craft room despite all good intentions. I know that once I get started I can get it done but getting started is the problem.. I did manage today to sort out all my food cupboards in the kitchen as this hasn't been done for sometime. Oldest thing in my cupboard was dated April 2013 opps! I now have clean today and more important - in date food :-) Although I did manage to break one of the cupboard doors :-(... Hubby needs to look at it tomorrow.

Wednesday I had a lovely afternoon with Leon. I picked him up from play school at 12 and went and got him some new shoes. He has gone up another size and is a size 10. After that we went on to Drusillas for our normal Wednesday afternoon. He got me climbing up a huge tower through little holes and down a big windy tunnel slide.. ( good job I have lost weight and go to the gym..) Here is a picture of us before we went down the slide.

Thursday saw us back at Craft workshop and we made the beautiful card below (my first for 2015). Such a pretty card and lovely colours. Made using Stamping up 'Flower Patch' stamps and matching dies, JustRite -Stitched Circles background stamp, spellbinders 'Asian Accents' die. The greeting stamp is another JustRite stamp ' Birthday Vintage label 4'. All these items have been added to my wishlist.

In the afternoon I went to have a manicure and pedicure, a birthday pressie from my friend. A bit of relaxation.

Christmas has left the building

Whoo hoo..all over again for another year, decs down tree gone and back to normal weeks where I know which day we are on!

Saying all that I did have a nice Christmas day. We had my son and his partner and of course my grandson which made our day. He was very good all day and loved opening all his pressies and ours!

Before I do say a final good bye to Christmas 2014 I would like to share some of the homemade cards I received from friends. I love receiving homemade cards and I hope that the people that receive mine get as much joy out of my cards as I do.

Right new year now and a 'Yo Do List' as long as the year it self. The main task is to de-clutter my house. I am a bit of a hoarder and need to be very strong with myself to get rid of a lot of stuff.

My craft room is on the list for a good de-clutter but first I think I need to tidy it up!! What do you think?
