Great British Craft Fair

As some of you may be aware, it was Hunkydory's Great British Craft Fair at the weekend in the Midlands and my mate Pam and I took a trip up there on Thursday to make a full weekend of it. The Friday was a day of workshops, 4 in total. Here are the projects that we made.

Melanie Heaton - All the flowers are made from circles of card. This was my favourite workshop of the day. Loved making all the flowers. The frame should have a stand with it but I have left that off as I will be mounting the frame onto a card and putting a greeting the center.

Rebecca Sneddon - These are from one of the Christmas kits from Hunkydory this year. Quite enjoyable to make as everything has been done for you. You just need to basically stick them together. I do love working with Hunkydory kits as they are so easy.

The Dreamees - The hast was cut from a template (already done in the pack) and we had lots of spiral roses and ribbon to decorate the hat as we wanted. I like the hat but this was the last workshop of the day and I was tired and lost the will to live after making all the roses. :-)

Ali Reeve - This was a fun class to do and quite messy. Started off with an MDF frame and a white canvas. Embossed card was stuck to the frame and them painted with blue paint. Brown paint was then dabbed on using a sponge and then mica powders on the top. The 'flower' was made of string, stuck on, covered in foil and the painted.. I do like the effect.

This is the second year that we have gone and it won't be the last. Not only did we have the 4 workshops, but tea & coffee all day and lunch plus we got lots of freebies at the end of the day.

Thanks for reading
