The problem card

This is the card that I mentioned about yesterday, the one that just didn't go right. The problem was that when I stuck the green backing paper to the orange card it somehow got a black mark on it. I didn't notice until I had stuck all the other bits on. I couldn't cover it up so I had to carefully peel the topper bits off and then remove the backing paper. Then I realised that I didn't have a spare piece of backing paper big enough for what I needed, but that's ok I thought cause I can cover the join with the band across the card, but then I  stick it with the join near the top!! hence the butterfly!!  Thank goodness it turned out ok.!

I have followed the sketch on Sunday Sketch & Stamp challenge this week and am also entering it into the Created with Love challenge whose theme is 'Layer it up' where you have to use at least 3 layers, and Passion for Promarkers challenge which is add ribbon, lace or twine”

Here is the sketch

and here is my card.

Anniversary Card

Here is another anniversary card that I have designed. I say designed because it was all done in CAP and I didn't 'make' anything as such but I did design it. :-) I again used the Party Paws Celebrations kit. All I have added is a couple of gems.

Feeling Sketchy Challenge- Sketch 61

Have you ever had one of those days where everything you do on a card goes wrong? Well that was my afternoon today. Amazing the card turned out ok in the end  but more of that card in a later post!!
I haven't entered a challenge for ages so having a look through the blogs that I follow, I came across the Feeling Sketchy Challenge and decided to have a go.
I have got a few wedding anniversary's in June and this card is for my sister and her husband. I have used an A5 scalloped edge card blank. The read backing card is from my stash. The white card is from  Colourbok and I have used the heart embossing folder. The image is from 'Me to You' Love toppers. The greeting is a stamp from Lily of the Valley and the gems and ribbon are from my stash.

Party Paws

I recently bought the Party Paws set from Crafter's Companion and with it you receive the Party Paws Digi kit which is great. You get 2 kits on the CD.  Here is my first attempt at using it. I used the Celebrations kit and came up with this wedding card.
The card was designed on CAP and printed off. All was added was gems.

Another Kanban Kit

The following cards have all been made using a Kanban Kit that I bought in a sale. The kit cost me a £1 and included 4 toppers and 1 sheet of backing paper (the green 1). These were easy cards to make but look classy. (Well I think so :-) ). Just added some backing card from my stash and some gems and ribbon.
The pink backing paper is from a K & Company paper pad. Green cards are 6 x 6 cards, the square pink card is 8x8 and the other one is A5 in size.

The Birthday Boys

Yesterday, 14th May, was my hubby's birthday and also my Grandson Leon was 2 (where has that time gone?) I showed you Leon's card a couple of post's back. Here is hubby's card. The background and writing were all done in CAP. I also too the image from a Forever Friends CD but didn't like it so I had one from 'The Goodlife' Topper pack.

Here is a picture of  Leon opening one of his many cards!

Using my Nice & Easel decoupage sheets

Still on the theme of using some of my craft stash , here are some cards that I have made with the La Pashe 'Nice & Easel ' sheets.

The first 2 pictures have been made into easel cards. Just added ribbon and gems to them. They will go towards my stock for the craft fair in a couple of weeks. These easel cards come complete with a decorated box.

I then got fed up of making easel cards so just made some ordinary cards . Added gems and ribbon from my stash. All backing card is Bazzill and the greetings come from Craftwork cards.

Using up my stash

I have been trying to use up some of the kits I have purchased over the years and here is the first lot of cards that I have made using the Kanban Couture Ladies Toppers. A kit I bought years ago from QVC.

For all the cards I have used mirri card to back the beautiful toppers. Some of the card bases have been made using Kanban foiled card. Some of the greetings are from the kit or craftwork cards. Have added some gems and ribbon to a couple of them.

These cards will go towards my stock for my craft table at the spring fair I am doing later this month.
