Birthday Card

Card I have to show you today is a very simple one. I first used the 'happy birthday' at a workshop and fell in love with it. Thought it would be ideal for male cards.

This card is 5 x 5 card. Die has been cut out of gold mirri card and matted onto black card cut with a circle die. The 'corner embellishments were made using a tiny circle punch and then shaped. Backing paper came from my stash.

My boys & some more Christmas cards

Today I had my grandkids for the day. Love having them and they were such good boys. Due to the weather not being good we spent most of the days in doors playing duplo.

The cards that I have to show are the last few Christmas cards that I made on my crafty week.

Workshop 27th July 2017

Had a lovely workshop yesterday with Clair & Sharni. This week we played with Altenew Beautiful Day stamps which are very pretty but we used the little stamps instead of the big ones and came up with some very pretty cards.

This was Clair's card, using stamps & dies from Altenew, MFT and Lawn Fawn. The background was done using crafters companion Linen embossing folder. The jar is stamped on velum (although this was stamped on a piece of laminate folder ) Flowers coloured in with sharpie pens and I finished my card off with some sequins.

This is Sharni's card. The flowers are the same as above and the greeting is from Lawn Fawn - big scripty words which I fell in love with.

Great Nieces Card & Pressie

I have just got back from a couple of days up at Thomasland with my grandson. 4th year running and he still loves it. This will probably be the last year with him on hos own, next year we will be taking the little one as well! Eek!!

Last Saturday was one of my great nieces' birthday. Here is the card that I made her. The image I believe is a Kanban one which I fell in love with. Such a cute image which I have decoupaged. (I have just noticed that I have lost one of the gems on the bottom!

Here is the gift I made her. The wooden letter was painted with acrylic paint and then I stuck some gems to make it sparkle. The box frame is 4" square. I then spelt out her name and then stuck some more gems.

My niece sent me a picture of Emily opening it. I think she liked it :-)

Linda's Craft Workshop

This evening I am knackered!! I have had my grandsons and they have me running around but I do love them :-)

Yesterday it was my monthly workshop with Linda. This week we used the deco foil transfer gel and deco foil. I really loved the effect. The first card, whilst I was making it I didn't like it but it has grown on me.

I love this card and the way it has come out.

This is one technique that I think I may try again in the future. :-)

Christmas Cards made with Party Paws

Had to take the car in today as we had a slow puncture in one of the tyres. Had it MOT'd and serviced last week so more money - not a happy bunny!! However hubby and I had a lovely walk along the seafront so that was nice. We are so lucky that we live near the sea, I love it.

The cards that I have to show you today are more Christmas cards made, this time with The Party Paws collection from Crafters Companion. I love this little bear. Making as many cards as possible from the one collection.

Friends Birthday and more Christmas cards

Today has been a busy day as I had to go to Gatwick to drop my mother in law off as she was going back home to France. Since the weekend  haven't had chance to have a play in my craft room so luckily I still have a few more previous made cards to show you.

The first is a card that I made for a friend. I love the twist & pop cards but cheated on this one as I bought a kit from Hunkydory. No need for measuring etc. Hopefully she like it.

Outside of the card

Inside

I also have a few more Christmas cards that I made on my crafty week.

Not sure whose images these are but they are very cute. Same card but using different background papers.

These are made from a Hunkydory kit from a couple of years ago. I love these colours for Christmas cards.

Weekend Makes

As I mentioned in a previous post I was up in Cardiff at the weekend with some crafty friends. We did do some crafting over the weekend and here are the cards that I made. Not as many as I normally do but enough!! :-)

Image comes from the free papers in Making Cards magazine a couple of months ago.

This is a decoupage image from a paper pad that Trace had that I thought was really cute.

Docrafts mini decoupage image and ready made card blank.

This image came from a kit from The Hobby House. Beautiful colours and images.

Image comes from a stamp set that was a cover kit on recent copy of Making Cards Magazine.

Dinosaur images from free papers from Making Cards Magazine. The card blank was cut from a die which I really liked and may have to purchase. :-)

Using the same die for the card blank but using papers from a paper pad bought from Lidl's. The greeting die is also a lovely die.

Trace gev both Debs and I this card blank and challenged us to make a card from it. Not my favourite card but I made one any way!!

Anniversary Card for my Sister

Have been away for the weekend up at Cardiff to see one of my crafty friends. Was supposed to be 5 of us going but only 2 of us could go in the end. We had a great time though and I fell in love with Trace's 2 dogs Alfie & Georgie. Along with the chatting, laughing and eating we did manage to do a bit of crafting which I will post once I have photographed them.

The card that I have to show you is one that I made for my sister and brother in law. Hopefully they would have received it now as they have been away for a few months.

For this card I used an image from one of Hunkydory's Little books. backing card and ribbon all came from my stash.

Nieces Birthday and present

I have just returned from a lovely meal out with some ex work colleagues. Feeling very stuffed and fat at the moment!!!

Yesterday was one of my great nieces, birthdays and here is the card & gift that I made her.

The image from the card comes from the free gift from last months Making Cards Magazine. Cut the topper out and matted and layered it, added some ribbon and gems. Cute card.

Here is the present I made her. The wooden letter was painted using acrylic paint, some gems were added and flowers made from the Stampin Up Petite Petals punch. Stamped from patterned papers and then had glaze added. Little tag cut and name computer generated matted on to it, and tied using matching ribbon.

Nephew's Birthday

Today my future daughter in law and I ran in the Muddy Fun Run for Cancer Research UK. Now for those that know me know I have an aversion to mud :-) However I put my OCD away and managed to do the race which involved  obstacles and mud!! Great fun we had and definitely signing up again for next year. Sneaky plug but you can still donate here :-).

Here we are nice and clean before the race.

This is who I ran for, my Mum, Dad and Grandad all passed away from cancer. Ron, my brother in law and Paul, a good friend are both still fighting.

This is us afterwards - a little dirty :-)

Yesterday was one of my great nephew's birthday and here is the card that I made for him. I used an image from the free gift from Making Cards Magazine. Such cute dinosaur pictures.

Last lot of cards I have for you today are some more Christmas cards. This time I have used images from Little Claire. These are so cute and make some lovely cards.

Clair's Workshop 29th June

Had Clair's workshop on Thursday. First one I have been too in quite a few weeks. I think I have missed at least 4.

This week we made a box card. First time I have every made one and I quite enjoyed it. The whole box and attachments were made from Lawn Fawn stamps which can all be purchased from Clair & Sharni's shop.

Coloured all the images in with sharpie pens.

I am also showing you another bunch of Christmas cards that I made using Docrafts Pippin Wood images. 8 very similar but different cards :-)
