Birthday Card

It seems my mojo has got up and gone at the moment and I haven't made a card in ages.  . However I have been up on my craft room today and made a total of 5 cards which will be shown at a later date :-).

This was the last one that I made which was for my nephew.I have used Hunkydory's kit 'It's a Man's World'. The mini is decoupaged and I have layered the backing card onto gold mirri card. The greeting comes from Craftwork cards.

A bit of scrapbook Layouts

Yesterday I had a play with CAP and came up with the 2 following layouts. The first one is of my dad and my nephew. I was looking through some photos the other week trying to find a specific photo and came across the photo of my dad back in his army days. I was shocked to see how much my nephew looked like him! My dad died in 1976 so wasn't around when my nephew was born. The likeness is uncanny!

The second layout is of my grandson, Leon. We took him out to Washbrook Farm. It's a bit hit and miss getting him to have his photo taken but I managed a few! This will be one for his memory book!

Hunkydory Kits to the rescue

I have been a naughty blogger and not blogged in a few days, opps!! But here I am now with 2 new cards. Both made using hunkydory kits.

This card was made using a topper sheet from their Hobbies & Pastimes kit. This is the golfing one which has been decoupaged. The backing sheet is from the kit. The backing sheet has been matted onto gold mirri card. The insert has been done to match the front.

This card was made using Decadent Days kit. It is one of Hunkydory's concept cards. It's a very quick card to make as everything is die cut for you and you just need to stick it together. :-)

Fab Day at Drusillas

Wednesday is the day that I have Leon, (although I will only be having him in the afternoon from next week as he is going to Nursery 5 mornings a week!) and yesterday was a rarity as Grandad was off work too. We had to go get him some new shoes in the morning but in the afternoon we went to Drusillas (my normal Wednesday place :-) ). It was a lovely day, nice and sunny but quite busy there. Louis Spence was there signing autographs as he is in panto on Hastings (which isn't far from where Drusillas is). Not quite who you would imagine being at a kids play park & zoo but hey ho.

Leon had fun playing in the paddling pool, he loves the water, especially if it means getting me of Grandad wet! Although yesterday he was playing with a couple of little boys.

After the paddling pool we had to have a go on Hello Kitty cars which he went on with Grandad and again with Nanny. I love this picture as it looks so natural. Not sure what was being said though!

Waiting in the queue for another ride on Hello Kitty cars.

Wedding Anniversary's

Well it's been a week since I last blogged. Not got much to say really, nothing exciting has happened. My car has gone into the garage to be mended and I have a little VW polo courtesy car to drive which is great apart from the name of the garage written all over it! Still hopefully they will fix mine soon. We have been told 6 - 8 days.

I have been trying to catch up on some card making as I need to get all my cards done for the rest of the year and then need to get family Christmas cards done before I go away in November!  I have 3 anniversary's this month so over the last couple of days that's what I have been making - anniversary cards.

This card is similar to one that I have seen on Pinterest. I have cut white card and embossed it using swiss dots embossing folder. The bottom has been cut with a Martha Stewart edge punch. The 'Happy Anniversary' has been heat embossed using silver WOW powder (yes my heat gun got it's yearly - or maybe bi annual - outing). The hearts were found in a box. Silver grey ribbon was added to finish it off. I do like the white on white.

This card was made using one of the card kits from Hunkydory Decadent Days & Nights. It's supposed to be a stand alone card but I didn't like it so I have stuck it on an 8 x 8 card. Silver mirri card and lilac backing card has been used to layer and mat the card. Both greetings are from the kit also.

This card was made using Crafters Companion BeBunni Love paper kit. Layered onto pink backing card. The topper, boarder, spotty backing card and greeting are all from the kit. The topper matt was made using spellbinders nesties.
