Fabulous Fashion CD

As yesterday was Wednesday it is my day with Leon. We had a very hectic day at Drusillas (local zoo park). He has now discovered the soft play area which is great for him except as he loves climbing and has no fear, Nanny has to go with him. I was getting my body in all sorts of positions yesterday that I never thought I could. Mixing that with my hot flushes (that luckily have subsided a bit) is not a good combination, But we had a fab time and he was knackered so it was a good day.

I haven't been able to make cards for a couple of days but today I am showing a couple that I made from the Fabulous Fashion CD by Katy Sue Designs. I have seen this CD demo'ed on Create and Craft and although I liked the examples I wasn't going to bother with buying it. That was until I went to the GBCF - I fell in love with the examples that they had on there stand, so much better in the flesh so I just had to buy it.

I used the decoupage sheet and printed it off. Even on my old printer, the colours are fabulous. The backing papers were also printed from the CD. I didn't use all the decoupage layers so was able to make 2 cards with the 1 decoupage sheet.

This first card has been made for my mother in laws birthday. Very simple. A5 card blank. Backing sheets from CD, added some gems and greeting from Craftwork cards.

This card looks so much better in the flesh and I love it. 8 x 8 card blank. Again the backing papers are from the CD but different colour ways to the previous card. Backing card is bazzill card in green and mauve. Hat stand matt has been cut using spellbinder dies. Tiny gems have been used on the hat and the matt. The greeting is from Little Claires Designs stuck onto bazzill cut with spellbinders. I have added a ribbon hand the flourish is a marianne die. (never used one before :-) ). The flowers are paper roses.

Some Christmas Cards

Didn't have a good day yesterday - I have started having 'personal summers' and yesterday they were around with a vengeance, also summer decided to return also and we had a beautiful hot day. Today has been the same. I have had quite a busy morning as I had to take my grandson for a hair cut and then took him to look at a play school. No time in my craft room today.

Luckily I have a couple of cards that I made over the weekend and here they are. Christmas Cards!!

The first card is from a Kanban Christmas Kit. I love this kit and just loved this image of Santa. I have made it into an easel card, the image and the backing card and boarders all come from the kit, I have just added red mirri card, a paper poinsettia and greeting , all which came from my stash.

The second lot of cards I have done are easy peasy (just what I like :-), very simple. Mirri card, embossed Christmas tree put onto white card, 3 matching gems and greetings from Craftwork Cards. Can be made in any colourways that you want.

Craft Class for this week.

Well today I am not feeling 100%, had a very bad night and feeling very tired. Am sitting here now with my faithful hot water bottle to ease my stomach.

Now to my card I am showing on this post. On Thursday my mate Pam and I went off to the local workshop ran by Clair. This week's card was a real cutie suitable for the little boy in your life!!

The image and papers come from the Nit Wit range and I love it. The star should have the age of the child on it but will do that when I know who it is going to!!

The insert is gorgeous too.
Can see me making many more of these as I love the images & papers.

Saturday Crafting

Well today I was up at 4.15am cause I volunteered to take my friend and her hubby up to the airport as they were going away to Spain for a couple of weeks. It was a bit of a shock when the alarm went off but up I got and was round there place by 4.45. Was back in bed by 6.15..:-) - the joys of living about 40 minuites from the airport. Roads were lovely and clear and would have been quicker if it wasn't for the road works on the A23 taking the speed down to 40miles p/h (which is very difficult to stay at when there are no other cars about :-) )

This afternoon I have spent up in my craft room and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been quite productive too, I only have about 3 more cards to do for the rest of the year, and I even managed to do a couple of easy peasy Christmas cards but you will have to wait til I have photographed them to see them.

My card today is an anniversary one that I made earlier in the week.

Recipe:-
White card blank
card from colorbox 12 x 12 pad
Backing paper from Me to You pad (can't remember which one!)
Topper - Me to You reay made topper
Corners are from Met to you Kit
Greeting from my greetings box.
Spellbinders Nesties - Standard circles and scalloped circles

What a wet day...

What a horrible grotty day. I'm not a fan of the rain especially when I have to go out... but one good thing about the autumn and winter coming is that I can spend more time in my craft room. Unfortunately not today as I had to go out but I did on Sunday when we had awful weather too.

The cards I am showing today are from one of the Hunkydory kits I have. This is from the 'Hobbies & Pastimes' range. The toppers are decoupaged and I have used the  coordinating backing card for both cards.

Really quick and easy cards that I think look great.  The greetings are also from the same kit.

Teddy Decoupage

Second post of the day for me.... winters coming :-)..

Whilst trying - and I emphasise 'trying' - to clear up my craft room the other day I can across a half sheet of decoupage so it had to be made and then I thought it would be ideal for my niece's card. So here it is. Decoupaged Teddy image (not sure where I got it from though!!), backing card from my stash as are the flowers. The greeting is from craftwork cards.

Anniversary

In a few weeks hubby and I celebrate 20 years of marriage..OMG..and people said it would never last!! Well we have proved them wrong...so far :-)

Here is the card that I have made him. It's a stepper card made from the kit we got from Dawn Wheeler at GBCF. Party Paws is such a lovely kit and Bamboo is such a cute bear. All items, apart from the peel offs  ( yes I have used peel offs), have come from the kit that we were given. Gold mirri card with the backing card matted onto it. The topper is stuck on with 3d foam, the peel offs are stuck to the backing card. The heart boarder comes from the kit as does the greeting. the little heart on the bottomcorner is there to cover up a mistake..I cut the gold mirri card too much :-).

Local Craft Class

What a naughty blogger I have been - not been feeling very blogish (is that a word!!) recently - not even read the ones I am following... will get back into it though soon as the cold weather is coming and won't be going out so much.
Today I am showing a card that I made last week at a card class. The class was found by my mate Pam and as it is localish to us we decided to give it a go. The class is run by Clair who has a lovely blog here
The card is made up of Stampin Up products. Not the sort of card I would normally make but I was quite impressed with these. I do have a few Stampin Up stamps and punches but I must say I love the stamps and die sets.
The background is a stamp also and it is quite a nice size as well.

The classes are held once a fortnight and I am looking forward to the next one.

1 unfinished project now finished!

When my friend and I did the workshops at the GBCF a few weeks ago, I came away with a few unfinished projects and vowed that they would get finished....eventually.

Here is one of them. This was from dawn Wheeler's class for Crafters Companion using the Party Paws cardmaking kit. The card is and easel one. Gold mirri card, backing paper and topper were all on the kit given to us. I have added the greetings from Craftwork cards, gems and flowers from my stash. The card is slightly bigger than a 6x6 but smaller than an 8x8. I have now got to make a box as it has to be sent to my sister in Bedford.

Anniversary Card

Well it's been another pleasant day today weather wise and I have managed to get up in my craft room to finish off a couple of cards.

Not only is it my sisters birthday but also her anniversary and here is the card that I have made for her and her hubby.

The background paper and the ribbon slider were done on CAP using the Party Paws digi kit. The Party Paws image was from the Party Paws CD, decoupaged and stuck on some backing card from my stash. The flowers are mulberry ones that I found recently whilst looking for something else. I do think the pandas are so cute!

Big Sister's Birthday

Still haven't finished any new cards at the moment but do have a couple on the go, soon to be finished. here is a card that I finished a couple of weeks ago for my sister who's birthday is later this month.

She loves her baths so I thought this image from La Pashe 'Flipping Women' range was ideal. Instead of using acetate (couldn't be bothered to cut out a aperture on the card!!) I have stuck the back view on the inside. The image is decoupaged. The backing paper came from one of the La Pashe cd's I have. Can't remember which one it was but it was called 'Snow', I thought it looked very much like bath bubbles.
The big greeting comes from the decoupage sheet and the other greeting is from Craftwork cards. Then I just  added some gems.
