Cheated a bit today

Wanted to make a card today but mojo ha left me...so found a couple of packs I had left over from my trip to Appleby Magna earlier this year and made them.
I love doing these cards as they are so simple and easy and I think look classy.

For details of the card please see here.

Greta's Playday

On Tuesday a few of us met up at Greta's house for a play day. After a chat in the garden and a cuppa we all set about doing a bit of crafting. Greta had some House Mouse decoupage sheets and we all chose a couple of sheets to make cads with. Here are the cards that I made. I didn't finish them on the day but completed them this weekend.

The backing paper, decoupage paper, card candy and ribbon are all curtsey of Greta. The greeting is a LOTV greeting stamped onto white card and matted onto green card cut with a nestie. The greeting has been chalked with pale pink chalk.

I love these two. They are so cute. Again all the paper and the decoupage are from Greta. I have just added a flower, some pearls and a greeting from Craftwork cards.

We all had a great day, plenty of laughs and nice food. We ended the day with a meal at Frankie & Bennys which was lovely as normal.

Couple of Days in Southampton

A couple of weeks ago some friends and I headed down to Southampton for a couple of days.

On the Monday when we arrived at Southampton, Pam & I went round Ikea. Pam was an 'Ikea Virgin!'. She has ordered from them but never been to the store.

Originally we were going to Nancy & Stephanie's Crafty Workshop (Nancy Watt & Stephanie Weightman), but this was cancelled. As we had already booked the hotel (which we ended up getting free - long story!!) we decided that we would go anyway and on the Tuesday we did a bead class at the Southampton Bead Shop. Here is a picture of the necklace that we made. It's my favourite colour. I enjoyed making the piece even though it looked quite difficult.

We had a good day with plenty of laughs as normal. Not quite sure what the tutor or the shop staff made of us but hey ho, we had fun.

We ended the day with a meal at TGI Fridays. I would like to say that it was a good meal but it was not, we had to wait ages to be seated, even longer to be served, We had been there over an hour before our food came out and some of the food was cold. We ended up complaining and getting £25 off the bill.

Pam and I git stuck in traffic on the was back and took us just as long to get back to Brighton as it did Trace to get back to Cardiff!!!

Friend's Birthday

Not been making many cards recently as have been busy doing other things :-( but here is one I made earlier!!
It's one of my closest friends 50th birthday this month and here is one of the cards I have made for her. I will be making 2 - this one and a comic one! This card is based on a card that I did earlier in the year at Greta's playday.

The backing card is bazzill bling and the backing paper comes from Kay and Company. The ribbon was from my stash as were the gems and the flower. The stamped words were from a friendship set from HobbyArt stamped on white card and backed onto bazzill bling cut with spellbinders.

Last lot of cards made

Here are the last couple of cards that I made using the La Pashe 'Wacky Wheels'. When you get the decoupage sheets you get a large image and then you get a pyramarge (*sp!) image of the same car.

This first car is a small square card. I have used a piece of the corrugated card and some black card to matt the image on. I have used some card candy and some black peel offs for the greeting.

Here I have used 4 of the smaller images and matted them on plain black card. The greeting is of course from Craftwork cards.

A different type of card here. Image is from a Forever Friend topper pack. The green card is bazzill bling and has been embossed using a football folder that I have. The backing paper is from a pack I got with the forever friends toppers.

Sketch 'n' Stash Challenge 93

Following on with my male cards here's another one that I have made today. The image is a forever friends bear stamp which I have coloured with promarkers. The red card and football backing papers are from my stash and the greeting is a Craftwork Cards one..of course :-)

I have followed the sketch from the Sketch and Stash Challenge that is running at the moment. Here is the sketch.

More Men's Cards

As previously stated I have a few (quite a few to be exact!) of male birthdays over the next couple of months. As I am trying to use my stash here are a couple of cards that I have made over the last couple of days using the 'Wacky Wheels' decoupage from La Pashe.

This one is for my brother in law. Corrugated  card that I found in a drawer, piece of ribbon found on the floor of my craft room!!! Buttons are from my stash too. The greeting is of course Craftwork Cards.

This is a card for my son who is 24 soon. He has just finished his 2nd year car mechanics apprenticeship and will be starting year 3 in September. He bought a couple of old Golf GTi  to do up so I thought this image was appropriate. The ribbon I found in a box and the greeting and card candy are from Craftwork cards again.

This is for my nephew in law. Again corrugated card and ribbon from my stash and greeting and card candy from Craftwork cards.

Have entered these cards into the Dude Time Doodles Challenge which is 'Travel'
